Can one be happy apart from God?

That question has been sitting with me for the past few days.

It brought me back to times in my own life when grief, disappointment or hurt made me withdraw. Times when I closed the door to my heart and quietly thought, I'll carry this alone.

And then I began thinking about all the ways we search for happiness — in success, relationships, security, recognition, achievement… even spirituality.

Why does the finish line always seem to keep moving?

And what are we really searching for beneath all of it?

I sat with those questions for a while, and they led me somewhere much deeper than I expected.

The River remembers.

For thousands of years, the Nile has carried kings, pilgrims, traders, seekers, and storytellers.

It has witnessed the rise and fall of civilisations, yet its waters continue to flow with the same peaceful rhythm.

Spending twelve nights on the Nile isn't simply about seeing Egypt.

It's about slowing down long enough to experience her.

To wake with the sunrise.
To watch temple walls emerge from the riverbank.
To share stories under the stars.
To let the river carry you, if only for a little while.

In March 2027, I'll be returning for another unforgettable journey through Egypt.
