Before Play Lab, I spent years creating activity packs. Some were shared, while many are still sitting quietly in my folders.

There was never a big business plan or specific agenda behind them. I simply found joy in creating. Not as a professional, but as a mother who loves making learning fun, meaningful, and accessible for children.

The early years are about so much more than learning letters and numbers. They’re about building confidence, developing friendships, learning to regulate emotions, and feeling safe enough to explore the world.

At Play Lab, we believe these skills grow best through consistency. That’s why our programme is thoughtfully designed to give children time to settle in, build trusting relationships, and progress at their own pace.

For the longest time, I thought I knew exactly what Signs & Wonders would become.

The original dream was to build an intervention centre.

But as I met more families, listened to parents, worked alongside educators, and advocated for the neurodivergent community, my perspective began to change.

I realised that many children don’t just need support when challenges arise, they need strong foundations before those challenges become bigger.

That’s why Play Lab was born.

This wasn’t a change in mission. It was a deeper understanding of it.

Over the years, we’ve organised workshops for parents and educators, supported neurodivergent young adults through Project Impian, and continued looking for ways to empower families beyond our four walls.

Today, our heart remains the same:
🤍 To help children build confidence.
🤍 To partner with parents.
🤍 To create a safe space where every child can thrive through meaningful play and connection.

The journey hasn’t always been easy. There have been moments of uncertainty, setbacks, and questions about whether we’re heading in the right direction.

But every family we’ve met has reminded us why we started.

What actually happens at Play Lab?

We often get asked this, so here’s a simple look into what your child experiences during our sessions.

Play Lab is a structured enrichment programme designed to support early learning through play-based activities, guided interaction, and intentional skill-building.

Each session is thoughtfully planned to help children grow in:
• independence
• social interaction
• fine motor skills
• early cognitive and language development

We also keep our group intentionally small so every child gets the attention and support they need.

Looking for a small, nurturing environment where your child is truly seen?

At Play Lab, we intentionally keep our groups boutique-sized so our facilitators can get to know each child beyond just a quick “hi” and “bye.” We build meaningful relationships, understand their unique personalities, and support their growth every step of the way.

Through play, social interactions, life skills, hands-on activities, and themed learning experiences, children are given the space to develop confidence, independence, and friendships in a safe and supportive environment.
