𝗔 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀

Most families living at Asajaya find it hard to earn a living, especially those who are fishermen. A mother's struggle became worse when her husband passed away earlier this year, and left her to fend for three schooling children by herself💪.

Her late husband passed away back in May this year due to brain cancer🧠. The cancerous tumour was already spreading fast. Before any treatment could be done, her husband died suddenly.

She actually generates her own income. For about 10 years, she has been making homemade shrimp paste🦞, locally known as ‘Belacan’ at her home and sells it to villagers. She buys tiny shrimps from local fishermen and does all the whole process at home.

Hope Place is supporting the family with basic food aid and school supplies for her children📦💕🥫.

母亲坚强打拼，努力供养三个孩子上学

对于居住在 Asajaya 的许多家庭来说，谋生并不容易，尤其是以捕鱼为生的家庭。一位母亲在丈夫于今年年初离世后，生活变得更加艰难。如今，她必须独自承担起养育三个还在求学的孩子的重担💪。

她的丈夫于今年五月因脑癌离世🧠。当时，癌细胞扩散得非常迅速，还来不及接受任何治疗，丈夫便突然去世了。

这位母亲一直努力靠自己的双手赚钱。大约十年来，她都在家中自制虾酱“Belacan”🦞，并售卖给村民。她向当地渔民购买小虾，再亲自在家完成制作虾酱的所有工序，以此赚取收入维持家计。

希望之家目前为这个家庭提供基本粮食援助及孩子们的上学用品，希望减轻她的生活负担，让孩子们能够继续安心求学📦💕🥫。

𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲

Hope Place Kuching recently started supporting a man and his family living in Siburan. He lives with his wife, daughter, son in-law and two grandchildren in Taman Duranda Emas🏚️.

He works as a daily paid construction worker👷‍♂️ and only receives wages if called to work. His wife is in good health and takes care of their twin grandson at home. The only person who has a stable income in the family is his daughter. His daughter works as a cleaner and receives a minimum salary per month. Son in law needs medical treatment. He suffers from kidney failure and is on dialysis.

A scorched, ruined house.

A fire🔥 broke out in the home. Although no one was hurt, his house was in ruins. Most of the inner walls of the house are badly cracked, caused by intense heat. He told Hope Place that he used most of his meagre savings to repair his roof. The fire also melted and ruined the house’s main electrical box, and thus, the house has no electricity now as well.

Hope Place is supporting the family with basic food aid and school supplies for his grandsons. Hope Place is grateful to the volunteer who has referred his plight to them📦🥫💕.

火灾烧毁房屋中家庭

古晋希望之家最近开始援助一名居住在Siburan的男子及其家人。他与妻子、女儿、女婿以及两名孙子，一家六口居住在 Taman Duranda Emas🏚️。

他是一名建筑工人👷‍♂️，以日薪工作为生，只有在被叫去工作时才有收入。妻子身体健康，平时在家照顾双胞胎孙子。家中唯一拥有稳定收入的是女儿。女儿从事清洁工作，每月领取最低工资。女婿则需要接受医疗治疗，他患有肾衰竭，目前正在接受洗肾治疗。

一场大火烧毁了他们的家

家中曾发生火灾🔥。虽然没有人受伤，但房屋却严重受损，几乎成为废墟。他告诉希望之家，为了修理屋顶，他已经用掉了大部分微薄的积蓄。火灾也烧毁屋内的主要电箱，因此目前房屋也没有电力供应。

希望之家目前为这个家庭提供基本粮食援助，以及孙子的上学用品。希望之家也感谢志愿者，将这个家庭的困境转介给我们，让我们有机会为他们提供帮助📦🥫💕。

A man👨‍🦳 still strives to be the breadwinner for his family. Living at Kampung Tabuan Melayu with his wife and four children. Despite being physically disabled, he has no immediate plans to retire just yet. Hope Place Kuching visited him at his home.

He was involved in a horrific accident at his workplace back in 2006, which left him physically disabled🦵🩼. He was fleeing from an industrial elevator that fell from a few storeys high to the ground, but unfortunately his right leg was hurt by the impact.

With help from SOCSO, he was able to work at a car wash. Although a little awkward in moving and even standing, he still managed to work alongside others. However, this does not deter him from finding other means to earn income for his family. Currently, he is selling fresh fruits🍈, which he gets from wholesalers, selling outside his house, together with his wife.

Hope Place is supporting the family with basic food aid📦💕🥫.

男子身残志坚，努力养家

一名中年男子👨‍🦳身体残疾，依然努力成为家中的经济支柱。他与妻子及四名孩子居住在Kampung Tabuan Melayu。虽然行动不便，但他目前并没有退休的打算。日前，希望之家前往其住家探访。

2006年，他在工作期间不幸遭遇一场严重意外。当时，一部从数层楼高处坠落的工业升降机，他为了躲避而逃离现场，却不幸被升降机坠落时的冲击波及，导致右腿受伤，并造成身体残疾🦵🩼。

在社险机构（SOCSO）的协助下，他后来获得机会在洗车店工作。虽然行动和站立时有些不便，但他仍努力与其他员工一起工作。然而，这并没有阻止他继续寻找其他方式为家人赚取生活费。目前，他与妻子一起在住家外售卖新鲜水果🍈。水果是从批发商处购入，再进行售卖，以赚取收入维持家庭生活。

A mother🧕 of two was visited by Hope Place Kuching recently. Although she looks like any ordinary lady, she has several illnesses, including mental disability, and sought support for her family. She, with her husband and two children, lives at Taman Dahlia, Matang.

She was diagnosed with schizophrenia and takes an injection💉 once a month. On top of that, she also has incontinence and diabetes. While talking to her, Hope Place found that she has a pleasant personality, is friendly, and is very open about her condition.

He husband used to work as a security guard, but quit his job in order to take care of his wife and baby. He also suffers from epilepsy and is still on medication. With both his wife’s and his health conditions, he is unable to get a full time job. He now sells homemade fried chicken🍗 and nasi lemak at home and delivers to customers living nearby.

Hope Place is supporting this family with basic food aid. Hope Place also provides baby milk powder for her youngest child📦💕🥫.

育有两名孩子的母亲面对多种疾病

古晋希望之家近日探访了一名育有两名孩子的母亲🧕。虽然她看起来与普通人无异，但她患有多种疾病，包括精神疾病，因此向希望之家寻求援助。她与丈夫及两个孩子住在Taman Dahlia。

这名母亲被诊断患病，每个月需要接受一次注射治疗💉。此外，她也面对尿失禁和糖尿病的问题。在与她交谈的过程中，希望之家发现她性格开朗、亲切友善，也非常坦然地分享自己的健康状况。

她的丈夫过去是一名保安人员，但为了照顾妻子和年幼的孩子而辞去工作。他本身也患有癫痫症，目前仍需要服药。由于夫妻两人都有健康问题，他无法从事全职工作。目前，他在家自制炸鸡🍗和椰浆饭，并将食物送到附近的顾客家中，以赚取一些收入维持家庭生活。

希望之家目前为这个家庭提供基本粮食援助，同时也为他们年幼的孩子提供婴儿奶粉📦💕🥫。

A concerned member of the public recently requested Hope Place Kuching to help an elderly man and his wife👵👴. He and his wife have been living in a KMC flat for a very long time and, now in their advanced years, have very little to get by.

Uncle seems to be relatively healthy. Uncle suffered a hip fracture last December and is also diagnosed with pulmonary embolism, whereby he has blood clots in his lungs. Uncle is also totally blind, having glaucoma. Uncle never leaves his apartment, spending most of his time lying in the medical bed🛌.

Uncle receives RM600 from the social welfare department. Aunty is the sole caregiver of Uncle🫶.

Hope Place sadly, saw that the main issue that the couple faces is loneliness. Their KMC flat, though clean and tidy, looks dreary and empty. Hope Place is supporting the elderly couple with basic food aid📦💕🥫。.

老夫妻获希望之家援助

近日，一名热心公众人士联系古晋希望之家，希望我们能够协助一对夫妻👵👴。这对夫妻已经在KMC组屋居住了很长一段时间，如今随着年龄已高，生活十分拮据。

老伯目前的身体状况相对稳定，但去年12月曾不慎摔倒导致髋部骨折，同时也被诊断患有肺栓塞，也就是肺部出现血栓。此外，老伯因青光眼而完全失明。他几乎从不离开住所，大部分时间都躺在医疗床上休息🛌。

老伯每月从社会福利局领取RM600的援助金，而老伴则是他的主要照顾者，独自负责照料老伯的日常生活🫶。

希望之家探访后发现，这对夫妻目前面对的主要问题，其实是孤独感。虽然他们居住的KMC组屋保持得干净整齐，但屋内显得十分冷清和空荡。希望之家将持续为这对老夫妻提供基本粮食援助，希望能够减轻他们的生活负担，并给予他们一些关怀与支持📦💕🥫。

A mother of four has few worries and lives an ordinary life with her family in Kampung Tabuan Melayu. Her life changed last year, when she took in two orphaned children into her family. Hope Place Kuching visited this large family recently, giving them much needed support.

She lives with her husband, her elderly mother, and four children. Last year, she and her family welcomed her cousin’s children to live with them.

At first, it seemed the orphaned kids were doing fine. Many neighbours helped them, and as her cousin’s house is just opposite her own home, she also kept an eye on the kids.

Her husband is the only breadwinner for the family of 9. He works for a shipping company. Their daughter just finished school and has applied for a job, but is still waiting for a reply. She tries to earn extra income by selling cold drinks outside her house.

Her mother has several health issues, including diabetes, knee pain, and high blood pressure, and thus also needs care at home. Hope Place, after visiting the family, has decided to support the family with basic food aid and school supplies.

六口之家敞开家门，收留失去双亲的兄妹

一名育有四名孩子的母亲，住在古晋Kampung Tabuan Melayu，过着平凡而简单的生活。去年她收留了两名失去双亲的孩子，让他们成为家中的一分子，生活也因此发生了改变。古晋希望之家探访了这个大家庭，并为他们提供援助。

她与丈夫、母亲及四名孩子同住。去年，她和家人决定收留表亲的两名孩子和他们一起生活。

两名失去双亲的孩子之前似乎适应得不错。许多邻居也主动伸出援手。由于表亲的住家就在她家对面，她平时也会多加留意孩子们的情况，给予他们照顾。

丈夫是这个九口之家的唯一经济支柱，在一家航运公司工作。女儿刚毕业，目前已申请工作，但仍在等待回复。为了赚取额外收入，她也尝试在住家门外售卖冷饮。
此外，她母亲患有多种健康问题，包括糖尿病、膝盖疼痛及高血压，因此也需要在家中得到照顾。

经过探访与评估后，古晋希望之家决定为这个大家庭提供基本粮食援助及学校用品，帮助他们减轻生活负担。

Once again, a social worker from Hospital Sentosa🏥 has referred mentally disabled out-patients to Hope Place Kuching, requesting more support. He and his sister live together at Jalan Wan Alwi.

He was diagnosed with schizophrenia. He mannerism is mild and quiet. His sister, on the other hand, was diagnosed by doctors with bipolar disorder five years ago. After their parents passed away many years ago, she is the sole caretaker for him😔.

Although both siblings are independent and do everything by themselves, their home is very messy. Living in this poor condition, both siblings seldom go out. Her sister goes out once in a while to buy household necessities📦.

Without any savings or generating any income, the two siblings only depend on welfare aid. Hope Place is supporting both of them with supplies of basic food aid continuously📦💕🥫.

患有精神兄妹生活贫困

Hospital Sentosa🏥 的社工转介两名精神患者至古晋希望之家，并寻求进一步的援助。这对兄妹目前同住在 Jalan Wan Alwi。

哥哥被诊断患有Schizophrenia，平时表现温和、安静。妹妹则在五年前被医生诊断患有Bipolar Disorder。多年前父母相继离世后，妹妹便独自承担起照顾哥哥的责任😔。

虽然兄妹俩都能够自理，独立完成日常生活中的事务，但他们的住家环境相当凌乱。由于长期生活在如此恶劣的环境中，兄妹俩很少外出。妹妹偶尔会出门购买日常生活所需用品📦。

由于没有任何积蓄，也没有收入来源，兄妹俩只能依靠福利援助维持生活。古晋希望之家持续为他们提供基本粮食援助，帮助他们日常所需📦💕🥫。

𝗠𝗮𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝗔𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲

A man was visited by Hope Place Kuching, after a referral from the social welfare department. He is currently staying in Landeh, had just been discharged from the Heart Hospital in Samarahan🏥.

He has had heart disease since 2020🫀. He underwent angioplasty, during that time, four of his arteries were blocked. He also suffers from high blood pressure and diabetes.

He used to be a motorcycle salesman🏍️ and later started a home-based business, selling household electrical appliances. However, when his health deteriorated, business slowed down drastically. A lot of their savings were spent on his medical bills.

He also just received news that his application for social welfare has been approved and he will receive RM300 soon. With so many expenses like house instalment, utilities, and medical bills, every cent is crucial. Hope Place is supporting him with basic food aid until he is able to stand on his two feet again, financially📦🥫💕.

心脏病男子独自生活

希望之家接获社会福利局的转介后，前往探访这名男子。他住在 Landeh，刚刚从三马拉汉心脏专科医院出院🏥。

他从 2020年开始患有心脏疾病🫀，并曾接受心脏血管成形术。当时有 4条心血管阻塞。此外，他也患有高血压和糖尿病。

他曾从事摩托车销售工作🏍️，后来在家中经营小生意，售卖家用电器。然而，随着健康状况恶化，生意也大幅减少。过去的积蓄大多都花在医疗费用上。

最近，他也收到好消息，社会福利援助申请已经获批准，即将获得 RM300 的援助。面对房屋贷款、水电费以及医疗费用等各种开销，每一分钱对他来说都非常重要。希望之家目前为他提供基本粮食援助，希望在他逐渐恢复、能够重新站稳脚步之前，给予他一些支持与帮助📦🥫💕。

Though still in her late 40s, she👩‍🦰 has already been blessed with a beautiful grandson. She lives with her two adult daughters and grandson at Semariang Batu.

She used to work at a coffee shop, earning a daily salary. She quit her job earlier this year when her grandson was born👶.

The mother of the baby is the eldest daughter and suffers from postnatal depression when her baby was born. The second daughter is the sole breadwinner in the family. Working part-time in a clothing store, she is hoping to get a cleaner’s job she just applied💪.

Her grandson has health problems. The baby boy was diagnosed with a bacterial infection in his brain when he was born. The baby boy is currently being treated with alternative treatment of antibiotic. The family lives in a squalid, old wooden house. Because of being too near the river and rotten wood planks everywhere, its condition has deteriorated to the point of being dangerous🏚️.

Hope Place is thankful to Klinik Kesihatan Petrajaya social worker for referring her plight to them. Hope Place is supporting the family with basic food aid and baby formula to baby📦💕🥫.

祖孙三代同住破旧危房，单亲家庭生活困苦

虽然年近40岁，这位婆婆👩‍🦰已经拥有了一位可爱的外孙。她与两名女儿及外孙一同居住在Semariang Batu。

她过去在咖啡店工作，以日薪维持生计。今年年初，外孙出生后，家中只有她照顾刚出生的婴儿👶。

婴儿的母亲是家中的大女儿。孩子出生后，她患上了产后抑郁症，目前无法工作。二女儿则是家中唯一的经济支柱，目前在一家服装店兼职工作，同时也希望能够成功获得她刚申请的清洁工作，以改善家庭的经济状况💪。

小男孩出生时也被诊断患有脑部细菌感染，目前正在接受抗生素等替代治疗。
这个家庭居住在一间破旧的木屋内。由于房屋靠近河边，加上屋内多处木板已经腐烂，房屋状况严重恶化，甚至已经达到危险的程度，居住环境相当恶劣🏚️。

希望之家感谢 Petrajaya Klinik Kesihatan 的社工 将这个家庭的困境转介给我们。目前，希望之家为这个家庭提供基本食物援助，并为小宝宝提供婴儿奶粉，希望减轻他们的生活负担📦💕🥫。
