(PPM-011-13-29042019) The Association is now working closely with the SME Association of Malaysia in tapping more experiences and resources.

SME Sarawak was established on 29th April 2019 with the objectives of promoting, providing supports, services and solutions towards the best interest of Small and Medium industries, enterprises and businesses in Sarawak. Since the inception, the Association has been actively recruiting new members to its team and bringing realization of its existence and objectives to the sector. SME Sarawak will

launch few seminars to promote Platinum Business Award, Industry 4.0 and other strategies to stimulate the growth of Small and Medium enterprises and businesses in Sarawak. The Association will also actively engage in dialogs with the various ministries of Malaysian Government and the State Government to reflect and provide feedback on the needs and improvement required for a stronger, more productive and professional Small and Medium enterprises in Sarawak. The role of SME Sarawak is extremely important in establishing a platform to bridge local enterprises to relevant government departments and eventually to the international platform by providing sufficient information, resources and trainings to the local entrepreneurs.

Strengthening Sarawak’s Digital Ecosystem 🚀

SME Association of Sarawak is proud to be part of the PIKOM Digital Excellence Awards (PDEA) 2026 Sarawak Roadshow, held at SMA Creative Innovation Centre (CHIC), Kuching yesterday.

The event brought together key players in the digital space, highlighting the growing momentum and potential of Sarawak’s digital economy. We were inspired by the welcoming address by YBhg. Dato Ir. Ts. Sudarnoto Osman, who encouraged local innovators to step onto the global stage.

Our President, Mr. Jordan Ong, was honoured to be invited as a panel speaker, where he shared insights on the real challenges and emerging opportunities faced by SMEs in digital transformation—especially in navigating today’s evolving economic landscape.

A night to remember! ✨🥂📸

We are delighted to share that the SME Association of Sarawak 3rd Installation Gala Night was successfully held yesterday, and what an incredible evening it was.

The response was truly overwhelming, and it was a joy to see so many guests enjoying the celebration, connecting with one another, and making the night so vibrant and meaningful.

The evening also marked two important milestones with the official launch of our SME Sarawak Handbook 2026–2028 and our new official website, reflecting our continued commitment to progress, accessibility, and stronger engagement with the business community.

A special note of appreciation to Deputy Minister for Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development Sarawak YB Datuk Dr. Ripin Lamat for honouring us with his presence as Guest of Honour, representing Deputy Premier YB Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah Ali Hasan. Our association successfully convened and concluded its Annual General Meeting (AGM) today with strong participation and support from members. The meeting was conducted smoothly with active discussions, reflecting members’ commitment towards the continued growth and development of the association.

During the AGM, several key matters were deliberated and a number of important motions were successfully passed, laying a strong foundation for the association’s future direction and initiatives.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all members for their continued trust and support. Moving forward, we look forward to working closely together with all members to bring the association to greater heights.
