Pengerami Meri Perais Pekit Pengelandik Jari The Iban Women Charitable Trust Taun 2025/2026.

WESNA Kuching was honoured to be invited as one of the guests to the Prize Giving Ceremony of The Iban Women Charitable Trust Handicraft Competition 2025/2026.

The event celebrated the creativity, craftsmanship and cultural heritage reflected in the beautiful works of talented Iban women and community artisans. Initiatives such as this play an important role in preserving traditional handicraft skills while providing opportunities for women and community to showcase their talents, build confidence and explore the economic potential of their craft.

WESNA congratulates The Iban Women Charitable Trust for organising this meaningful initiative and extends our warmest congratulations to all the winners and participants. May their creativity and dedication continue to inspire more women to preserve our cultural heritage while transforming their skills into opportunities for empowerment and entrepreneurship.

WESNA 2nd Board of Directors (BOD) Meeting 2026

The Women Empowerment and Sustainability Network Association (WESNA) Kuching successfully convened its 2nd Board of Directors Meeting for 2026 on 24 June 2026.

The meeting focused on reviewing the progress of resolutions from the previous BOD meeting, discussing matters arising, and strengthening the association's direction moving forward. A key highlight was the discussion on the WESNA Strategic Plan 2026–2028, which will serve as the roadmap for empowering women entrepreneurs, enhancing community engagement, and promoting sustainable development initiatives across Sarawak.

The Board also reviewed the Treasurer's Report, deliberated on current organizational matters, and explored opportunities to further strengthen partnerships, governance, and impact-driven programs.

As WESNA continues to grow, we remain committed to empowering women through leadership, entrepreneurship, capacity building, and meaningful community engagement.
Together, we build stronger women, stronger communities, and a more sustainable future.

Today’s WESNA meeting was a powerful reminder that when purpose-driven women come together, impact becomes inevitable. With more than half of our Board members present, the room was filled with passion, ideas, and a shared commitment to push our mission forward.

We are not just planning activities, we are shaping opportunities, uplifting communities, and building a legacy of empowered women who lead with heart and intention. Every voice mattered, every perspective added value, and every step we take brings us closer to meaningful change.

Here’s to stronger collaboration, bigger visions, and the courage to turn plans into action. The journey continues, and WESNA is just getting started. ✨

Can’t believe it’s almost our 2nd AGM already. Within 2 years, we have done many capacity building programs that truly bring impact and aim to empower more.
