CONSORTIUM FOR GLOBALIZATION OF CHINESE MEDICINE
Introduction
The Consortium for Globalization of Chinese Medicine was born in 2003 from a meeting attended by sixteen leading institutions in traditional Chinese Medicine organized by the Faculty of Medicine at The University of Hong Kong. It was during this meeting that a memorandum of understanding was signed by all sixteen founding institutions to form the Consortium for Globalization of Chinese Medicine (CGCM). The CGCM has since grown to 125 member institutes and 10 industrial affiliates.
The CGCM positions itself as a global, non-profit, non-discriminatory and non-political organization with a mission to advance Chinese herbal medicine to benefit all of human kind through joint efforts of the academic institutions, industries and regulatory agencies around the world, by achieving our goals.
