❤️ EVERY PACK, GIVE BACK — EVERY CHOICE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE ❤️

Sometimes, making a difference begins with something as simple as an everyday choice. 🛒✨

Through the generous support of Thien Lee Marketingand its Every Pack, Give Back initiative, every purchase of selected Thien Lee products helps contribute towards the ambulance and Hotspot operations of the Malaysian Red Crescent Sarawak Chapter. 🚑❤️

These operations help us continue serving communities across Matang, Samariang, Petra Jaya, Bako and Santubong — responding when help is needed most. 🤝

📊 In just two months:
🚑 June 2026 - 83 cases attended
🚑 July 2026 - 110 cases attended
❤️ That’s 193 cases in two months.

But behind every number is a Person, a Family, A Moment when someone needed help — and our team was there to respond. 🙏

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Thien Lee for their continued monthly contributions and commitment to supporting humanitarian services in our community. 🌟

We are equally grateful to everyone who chooses Thien Lee products. Your everyday purchase becomes part of something much bigger — helping us stay ready, reach further and continue serving those in need. ❤️🚑

And to our dedicated Malaysian Red Crescent volunteers and personnel: thank you for being there, day after day, whenever the community calls. 💪❤️

Together, small actions can create a lasting impact.

❤️ Every Pack, Give Back.
🤝 Together, we serve humanity.

MRC Stampin Branch, one of our vibrant branches in the heart of Kuching, successfully completed its BOCA 2.0 Workshop over the weekend. The workshop brought together 11 participants representing the Branch Governance, staff, and volunteer leaders in a meaningful exercise of reflection and planning.

Operating in a highly urbanized environment, Stampin Branch benefits from strong access to government agencies, corporate partners, and like-minded organizations, creating valuable opportunities for collaboration and community engagement. Yet, through the BOCA self-assessment, the branch also candidly identified areas requiring further strengthening, while recognizing the importance of sustaining the many strengths it has already built over the years.

The workshop was marked by open, honest, and highly participatory discussions, with members collectively reflecting on the branch's current realities, celebrating achievements, acknowledging challenges, and identifying priorities for future growth. This spirit of ownership and continuous improvement is at the heart of building a stronger and more resilient branch.

Congratulations to MRC Stampin Branch for taking this important step in its branch development journey. The MRC Sarawak Chapter wishes the branch every success and remains committed to supporting its continued growth as it strives to better serve communities across Stampin operational areas and beyond.

Growing Stronger from Within: MRC Kapit Begins Its BOCA 2.0 Journey

Congratulations to MRC Kapit Branch for taking on the BOCA 2.0 challenge and joining the growing BOCA community!

Kapit has come a long way from being a small riverine town in the interior of Sarawak. With improved road connectivity, the town is evolving rapidly, bringing new opportunities for its people and communities. Yet, beyond Kapit town lies a vast geographical area where distance, accessibility and the diversity of communities continue to present unique challenges for humanitarian outreach.

It is within this context that MRC Kapit Branch embarked on its BOCA 2.0 journey.

While the Branch remains active in delivering services to its communities, the BOCA workshop provided an important opportunity to step back from day-to-day activities, look at the bigger picture and reflect collectively on where the Branch is today and where it wants to go.

Through an open, participatory and honest reflection on the BOCA Matrix, the Branch Assessment Team identified its strengths, challenges and organisational and operational gaps. More importantly, the team moved beyond identifying challenges to prioritising what matters most and charting a practical Branch Development Pathway.

This is what BOCA is about—not an audit, inspection, ranking or compliance, but self-reflection, collective learning, ownership and continuous improvement.

For MRC Kapit, the journey ahead is about building a stronger and more capable Branch—one that is better equipped to reach communities, respond to local needs and deliver greater impact.

Strong branches are not built overnight. They grow through reflection, learning, action and commitment—from within.

Well done, MRC Kapit Branch, for taking the first step. We wish you every success on this journey of growth and transformation. MRC Sarawak Chapter stands with you and will continue to support you along the way.

Clarity was sought and implementation strategies considered for all Branches in Sarawak including Sarawak Chapter with the ultimate goal of financial accountability and transparency in the financial management and reporting align with the branch development journey.

The Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) Sarikei Branch has made history as the first MRC branch to undertake BOCA 2.0, the IFRC's newly launched global Branch Organizational Capacity to Act, a self-assessment and development tool.

Over two days, branch leaders, staff and volunteers came together in an inspiring journey of reflection, dialogue and planning. BOCA 2.0 is not about scoring a branch—it is about understanding where the branch is today, where it aspires to be, and how everyone can work together to get there.

Through open discussions, participants reflected on the branch's strengths and challenges, explored the 11 Essentials of a Strong Branch, identified root causes of key gaps, and developed a practical roadmap for both short-term and long-term development growth.

The energy, commitment and active participation demonstrated by everyone reaffirmed that sustainable transformation starts from within.

Congratulations, MRC Sarikei Branch, on leading the way. Here's to “Growing Stronger Branches from Within!”
