Brief History of 7th Kuching Company, The Boys’ Brigade in Malaysia

July 2004 - First meeting with the attendance of 10 boys in first class meeting.
16/03/2005 - Officially registered as 7th kuching company
July 2

005 - First Enrolment Service
December 2005 – First Company camp @ Rambungan Beach, Lundu
January 2006 - Company grow in strength with the recruitment drive in SMK Jalan Arang, and more number of officers joining in
Year 2006 – Top 5 average in BBM NKF Fund collection 2006 and also 2nd placing in officers category
Year 2008 – Junior Section Started with Church basis until today. Several years later Junior sections was introduce in SMB Chung Hua NO.2
Year 2008 – First participation in National Pesta in Kota Kinabalu
March 2009 – Band sounds off as Bugle band formation. Year 2009 – Jr.Calvin Hii emerged as a 1st runner-up in BBM national Art competitions 2009
Year 2010 – 5th Placing in 19th national Pesta street dancing competition Penang
Year 2014 – 4th Placing in 21th national Pesta street dancing competition Perak

🐱🚌 Company Outing to DBKU Cat Museum 🚌🐱

Junior & Senior Sections came together for a purr-fect day of fun and fellowship at the DBKU Cat Museum! Despite the heavy traffic along the way, the journey was filled with laughter, excitement, and great company.❤️‍🔥

From exploring fascinating cat-themed exhibits and unique artworks to learning about the history and culture surrounding our feline friends, there was something interesting around every corner. 🐾🎨📖

A day well spent discovering, bonding, and creating memories together. Thank you to everyone who joined and made the outing a meaningful one!

What a fantastic afternoon filled with laughter, teamwork, friendly competition & unforgettable memories! 🤩

From Juniors to Seniors, together with our Officers, everyone joined in the fun through:

🏠 Fortress Defenders: Bottle Wars

The hall was filled with cheers, sweat & plenty of laughter as teams battled it out, encouraged one another & created memories that will last long after the games ended.

Congratulations to all participants & winners who brought home hampers as rewards for their efforts! 🎁🥇 But perhaps the best reward of all was gathering together afterwards to enjoy the snacks earned through an afternoon of teamwork & determination💪🏼

Thank you to everyone who made the day such a success. Here’s to more adventures, stronger friendships & many more moments of laughter together! 😆🏅

⛰️ 3rd Expedition Trip of the Year 🚶‍♂️

Last weekend, 18 members joined our expedition to Mount Singgai for a meaningful journey filled with adventure, fellowship, and teamwork 🙌🏼

What made this hike even more meaningful was that every hiker helped carry building materials up the mountain for the church building project ⛪💪🏼
A small act of service, but a beautiful reminder that we can serve God and others even through our expedition.

Special thanks to Kian Hua Sir, Ssgt Ben & Ssgt Tyson for accompanying and guiding everyone throughout the session 🙏🏼

We were also glad to have several parents joining us along the hike!
We’ve been receiving many positive feedbacks from members, and we are thankful that our monthly expeditions continue to see an average participation of 18–20 members each month 😊

More than just hiking, these expeditions have become a meaningful platform for fellowship, bonding, service, and building one another up ✨

Attended 62nd Brigade Conference Meeting held at Port Dickson Methodist Centre ✈️☀️

What a truly fruitful & memorable gathering, made even more special as we celebrated the 80th Anniversary of BB Malaysia 🇲🇾✨

Throughout the conference, we were blessed with meaningful workshops covering topics such as Digital Media, AI in Ministry, eROS & Spiritual Warfare - all of which will greatly benefit us at a company level as we continue striving to improve & provide a better experience for our members 💯

A special thank you as well to Capt Kenneth & WO John from 15th Kuala Lumpur Company for warmly bringing us around Seremban for the famous 芙蓉燒包, as well as helping with transportation from KLIA to PDMC & back. Truly appreciate the warm hospitality 🫡

We returned home with hearts full of encouragement, inspired to witness how the BB Ministry continues to grow all across Malaysia. By God’s grace, may each & every one of us continue serving faithfully in the place He has called us to, glorifying His Name & being a blessing to our schools and members 🏫💒

Last Saturday, while our Senior Section was out for their Fire & Rescue Course, the rest of the company had a meaningful & productive time at parade 💪🏻

Our Junior Section spent the day on Awards Revision in preparation for their upcoming exams, while another group worked closely with Lt. Chai on their Gold Award Project. We also had the joy of welcoming a new member to their very first parade, always great to see the family growing 🙌🏻

Meanwhile, our Pre-Junior Section had an exciting & eye-opening session on Financial Planning led by W/O Ang 💰 A great start in helping them understand the value of money & make wise spending choices from a young age 💯

If you thought the Basic course was cool, the Advanced Level was on another level! 💥

We spent the day learning how to move through buildings when visibility is zero & the smoke is rising 💨

The simulation was an incredible experience that brought us all together as one. There is a special kind of bond that forms when you're working shoulder-to-shoulder, moving through the "heat" to locate victims & coordinate a rescue mission 🔥🥵

At the end of the course, we all felt a deep sense of gratitude.
Experiencing even a fraction of the intensity these heroes face daily has given us a whole new perspective on the bravery & seltlessness required to protect our community! 💯

𝓜𝓲𝓼𝓼𝓲𝓸𝓷 𝓐𝓬𝓬𝓸𝓶𝓹𝓵𝓲𝓼𝓱𝓮𝓭! 🚒

Our members spent a productive day at Balai Bomba & Penyelamat Tabuan Jaya for the Fire & Rescue Basic Level course last Saturday. From the technicalities of fire science to the hands-on intensity of hose drills & rescue techniques, we traded the classroom for the fire station, diving deep into the history of the service & even getting hands-on with fire trucks & equipment 🔥🧯

Rain or shine, the commitment to learning never stops, it was an invaluable experience for all 15 participants 🤩🤩

Huge thanks to the Southern Region committee for organizing such an epic session! 🧑🏽‍🚒
