Brief History of 7th Kuching Company, The Boys’ Brigade in Malaysia

July 2004 - First meeting with the attendance of 10 boys in first class meeting.
16/03/2005 - Officially registered as 7th kuching company
July 2

005 - First Enrolment Service
December 2005 – First Company camp @ Rambungan Beach, Lundu
January 2006 - Company grow in strength with the recruitment drive in SMK Jalan Arang, and more number of officers joining in
Year 2006 – Top 5 average in BBM NKF Fund collection 2006 and also 2nd placing in officers category
Year 2008 – Junior Section Started with Church basis until today. Several years later Junior sections was introduce in SMB Chung Hua NO.2
Year 2008 – First participation in National Pesta in Kota Kinabalu
March 2009 – Band sounds off as Bugle band formation. Year 2009 – Jr.Calvin Hii emerged as a 1st runner-up in BBM national Art competitions 2009
Year 2010 – 5th Placing in 19th national Pesta street dancing competition Penang
Year 2014 – 4th Placing in 21th national Pesta street dancing competition Perak

What a great day of competition, teamwork, and fellowship! 💪🏼

A big thank you to everyone who proudly represented BB. Beyond the matches and results, we’re grateful for the commitment each of you showed, turning up consistently for training, encouraging one another, and giving your very best on the court 🥒

No matter the outcome, we’re proud of every player who stepped forward and represented our company with passion, sportsmanship, and determination. Every game was a valuable experience, and every effort made us stronger as a team.

A special thank you to Ang Sir for taking the time to coach and prepare us throughout the tournament. Your guidance and encouragement meant a lot to the team 🎉

This may be the end of one tournament, but it’s only the beginning of the next challenge. 🎳 See you at the Bowling Tournament!

Our Junior Section had an exciting and eye-opening visit to the Airport Fire & Rescue Station (AFRS) at Kuching International Airport (KIA)! It was a great opportunity to learn how the dedicated firefighters keep the airport safe and respond to emergencies.

One of the highlights was getting to climb aboard the Airport Rescue & Fire Fighting (ARFF) truck and experience what it’s like inside one of these impressive vehicles. Everyone also got an unexpected surprise when the powerful hose created a sudden “downpour” as the wind changed direction! 🌧️😆 If you looked closely, you could even spot beautiful rainbows forming in the water droplets. 🌈

The adventure continued with a visit to the command tower, where our Juniors learned about the operations behind the scenes and even had the chance to look through the binoculars to observe the airport from above. 🔭✈️

A huge thank you to the Airport Fire & Rescue Station team for their warm hospitality, informative sharing, and unforgettable experience. We truly appreciate the time and effort spent inspiring our Juniors!

Congratulations to all our members on your promotions from Pte to LCpl, LCpl to Cpl, and Cpl to Sgt. Every promotion is more than just a new rank — it is a reminder of the responsibility to lead with humility, serve faithfully, and continue growing in leadership. May you embrace every opportunity to learn, guide others, and make a positive impact in the Company.

We also celebrated the Discharge Ceremony of Sgt Jordan, marking the completion of his Senior Section journey. We are also grateful that he has accepted his appointment as a Staff Sergeant and will continue serving the Company by mentoring and investing in the next generation.

Lastly, we took time to acknowledge the dedication of our Drill Team members and instructors as we continue preparing for the National Drill Competition at Pesta Penang 2026. Thank you to all the drill instructors, officers and ssgts for your faithful guidance, encouragement, and countless hours of training.

Keep striving, stay humble, and continue leading by example. We wish our Drill Team the very best as they continue their preparations for Pesta 2026! 🔥

So proud of every milestone you’ve reached and look forward to seeing many of you continue striving towards your Gold Award as you complete your journey in the Junior Section and prepare for the next chapter.

Junior & Senior Sections came together for a purr-fect day of fun and fellowship at the DBKU Cat Museum! Despite the heavy traffic along the way, the journey was filled with laughter, excitement, and great company.❤️‍🔥

From exploring fascinating cat-themed exhibits and unique artworks to learning about the history and culture surrounding our feline friends, there was something interesting around every corner. 🐾🎨📖

A day well spent discovering, bonding, and creating memories together. Thank you to everyone who joined and made the outing a meaningful one!

The hall was filled with cheers, sweat & plenty of laughter as teams battled it out, encouraged one another & created memories that will last long after the games ended.

Congratulations to all participants & winners who brought home hampers as rewards for their efforts! 🎁🥇 But perhaps the best reward of all was gathering together afterwards to enjoy the snacks earned through an afternoon of teamwork & determination💪🏼
