Rotary’s “Ending Polio” initiative is part of a global effort to eradicate polio, a paralyzing and potentially deadly disease. Through vaccinations, advocacy, and support from global partners, Rotary has helped reduce polio cases by 99.9% worldwide since 1988. The fight continues until polio is fully eliminated, ensuring future generations live free from the disease.

Swinburne Rotaractors had an amazing time volunteering at the 916 Charity Fair 2024! From helping out at various stalls and donating 100% of sales to Persatuan OKU (House of Joy), we not only gained hands-on business experience, but also had lots of fun making memories with new people along the way. We’re grateful for the opportunity and look forward to joining again next year. Thank you for having us 💖🌟

Fun fact: Malaysia Day on September 16th commemorates the formation of Malaysia in 1963, when Malaya, North Borneo (now Sabah), Sarawak, and Singapore united to form the nation. We are excited to announce our preparations for the Books of Hope Project 2024! Our team, including Deborah Luncha (President for 2024/2025) and Naomi Chai (Vice President for 2024/2025), began the Rotaract 2024 year by attending the District Rotaract Training Assembly at ITE Headquarters & ITE College Central in Singapore. The event, held on 3rd of August, was a valuable and memorable experience, where members built new relationships with other members from different regions!

During the event, we were honored to listen to a speech by Past District Governor Michael Yee from the Rotary Club of Garden City, who shared his insights and experiences with the attendees.

This gathering provided an excellent platform to explore the Rotaract Club's role in the larger community. We deeply appreciate the warm welcome and meaningful interactions from our new Rotaractor friends from all over the district, which helped to forge new friendships and create lasting memories.

As the Rotary Year 2023-24 draws to a close, we are thrilled to announce our success at the District Rotaract Conference held at the LIFA Clubhouse, Johor Bahru.

We are delighted and thankful to have won three prestigious awards for our Club Service, Professional Development, and Community Service initiatives! Our Gel Blasting event, conducted in collaboration with , earned a Gold Award. Additionally, our Interact Leadership Training, in partnership with Rotary Club of Kuching Central , also received a Gold Award. Our Roots for Tomorrow initiative, in collaboration with the Swinburne Sarawak Student Council Swinburne Sarawak Student Council , was honored with a Gold Award as well. Furthermore, we received a Silver Award for maintaining an exemplary Public Image throughout the Rotary Year 2023-24 🌟

We owe this monumental achievement to our outstanding Board of Directors and Lecturer Advisor, PP Andrea, whose unwavering dedication and tireless efforts have been instrumental in our success. We also extend our gratitude to the District 3310 Rotaract Committee members for recognizing our club's commitment to fostering positive change 🤗

On the evening of July 6th, the Rotaract Club of Swinburne Sarawak proudly attended the 39th Installation of the President and Board of Directors for the Rotary Club of Kuching Central at Waterfront Hotel Kuching. Representing our club, members Ryan Alistair (Immediate Past President 2023/2024), Mandy Chua (Past Secretary 2023/2024), Deborah Luncha (President 2024/2025), Anne Natasha (Treasurer 2024/2025), and Chai Gao Feng (Director of Professional Development 2024/2025) were present for this prestigious event.

Accompanied by our esteemed advisor, PP Andrea Chan, this event offered numerous opportunities for collaboration and networking. Our Rotaractors had the chance to connect with members from other Rotaract Clubs and gain insights into the impactful projects of the Rotary Club of Kuching Central within the local community.

Engaging with fellow Rotarians and Rotaractors, our representatives were inspired by the dedication and influence of District 3310's community leaders. The evening was filled with enriching experiences and sparked new ideas for future projects. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Rotary Club of Kuching Central for the warm invitation and wish them a successful year ahead!
