For World Mental Health Day, the Leo Club of Fame International College is proud to share our latest Website Service Project! We collaborated with Mr. Benson Lim from Empower Counselling Consultancy Services in Kuching to create a digital space dedicated to mental well-being🤗.

This website was built with care to help the community easily explore counselling services, discover courses and find resources all in one place🌐.

A massive thank you to Benson Lim for his trust, partnership and for sharing our work, and an even bigger shoutout to all the dedicated Leos who volunteered their time, skills, and teamwork to bring this project to life🦁.

Together through service projects, we make a real difference💚!

In tribute to World Mental Health Day, the Leo Club of FAME International College combined academic coursework with community service to design and launch an official website for the Empower Counselling Centre. Driven by a shared mission to destigmatize mental health support, our dedicated student team put in a lot of effort for structuring, coding, testing and refining a seamless digital platform tailored to modern user needs.

💻THE BENEFICIARY💻:
The primary beneficiary of this digital initiative is the Empower Counselling Centre, along with the local community it serves. By providing the centre with a robust digital home, we have empowered their counsellors, staff and outreach teams with an efficient tool to manage resources and connect with those looking for professional guidance🤗.

🔎THE NEED🔍:
This project directly addresses the critical need for accessible, centralized mental health resources in Kuching. Previously, local individuals seeking emotional support or professional therapy faced significant technological and social barriers in finding reliable information quickly. The newly developed website solves this problem by providing a secure, user-friendly hub where individuals can safely explore available services, understand therapeutic approaches and request confidential assistance without facing public stigma or unnecessary administrative delays.

✨THE IMPACT✨:
The impact of this initiative has been immediate and deeply meaningful. By launching this platform, we have significantly expanded the centre's digital footprint, allowing them to reach vulnerable individuals who might have otherwise suffered in silence. The streamlined interface simplifies the appointment booking process, reduces backend response times and increases overall community engagement.
Ultimately, this collaboration has bridged the gap between professional mental health practitioners and citizens in distress. Together, we are fostering a more compassionate, informed and resilient society where no one has to walk through their dark times alone🫂❤️

The Leo Club of FAME International College has been actively making a positive impact in our community during the Ixora Roadshow organized by the Lions Club of Kuching Ixora on 2 - 4 October🤗

Following our previous donation of children's books to Sarawak Children's Cancer Society (SCCS), our club also donated monitors, PCs and other IT equipment to the Sarawak ICT Association (SICTA) to give old e-devices a second life and support a greener future. 🌿💻

Thank you to the Lions Club of Kuching Ixora for organizing this impactful event and to everyone who helped us support our community and the environment! 💖

Three months of teamwork. Built for our club, and the people we serve.
On 1 October, we launched a website and club management app created through a collaboration between IT students and members of Leo Club of FAME.
The website shares our projects, people and stories. Behind the scenes, the app supports the planning, coordination and record-keeping that make our service possible.
Here’s what happens behind the website:
→ Project planning
Keep project plans, responsibilities and progress together—from the first idea to the final report.
→ Meetings and minutes
Prepare agendas, record attendance and present to the room while the secretary writes minutes privately. Export meeting documents as PDF or Word.
→ Club finances
Track accounts and transactions, prepare financial reports and preserve records from past meetings.
→ Member management
Keep member profiles and club roles organised, with control over which information appears publicly.
→ Service and recognition
Log service hours, keep track of contributions and generate PDF certificates.
→ Reports and stories
Prepare project reports, social captions and website stories in one writing workspace, ready to review and share.
→ A clearer overview
See membership figures, finances and project progress from the dashboard.
Why does this matter?
For a club powered by volunteers, time matters. Bringing this work together can reduce time spent searching for records and gathering updates. It also gives future committees organised records to build on, helping our work continue from one term to the next.
Thank you to every IT student and Leo member who contributed their time, skills and effort over these three months. You helped build something our club can use in its everyday service.
Less admin. More time to serve.
