SIBOFest 2024 was about the little things: the sudden increase in Google Translate usage, braving the heat together in the outdoors, and savouring that life-saving Gula Apong ice cream towards the end.

But mostly, it was about the music and camaraderie that broke every barrier and connected us all.

And…If you were wowed by the Aikodai Meiden High School Symphonic Band then, get ready. They are coming back this September, and we are making the experience even bigger.

Learning an instrument should be a joy, not a struggle. 🎻🥀

But in our region, we face “walls” every day. We lack specialised teachers, we lack places to fix our instruments, and we’re often stuck in events that don’t help us grow. We call this the Geographic Penalty—the unfair idea that you can’t be world-class just because of where you live.

We’ve watched the best bands on YouTube for years. It’s time we brought that standard here to Kuching.

We are tired of being “good for local.” We are ready to be good for global.

This September, we are returning to its roots to fix these problems. We’re bringing international experts and repair masters to you, making elite mentorship accessible to everyone.
