Sometimes, the greatest suffering is not just poverty, but being forgotten.

We met an elderly lady living in a fragile home, her body weak, her eyes fading, and her heart heavy with fear about tomorrow. She has no strength to walk, no family to truly care for her, and every day feels uncertain. Yet in that broken space, she still longs for dignity, for love, for hope.

There are many like her: silent, unseen, and unheard.

As a community, we cannot walk past their pain. Compassion is not just a feeling; it is a response. It is choosing to see, to stop, and to act.

A visit, a meal, a repaired roof, a listening ear—these may seem small, but to someone in need, they mean everything.

Let us not wait for change. Let us be the change.

Because when we lift the weakest among us, we reveal the strongest part of who we are.

Jumaat lalu di Hab Pembelajaran Stutong, kami telah menganjurkan Bengkel Pembaikan Motosikal dengan penyertaan lebih 30 orang belia. Sesi ini memberi pendedahan praktikal dan kemahiran berguna untuk kehidupan harian.

Kami juga berbesar hati menerima kehadiran YB Welfred Yap dalam sesi dialog bersama belia, di mana mereka berkongsi aspirasi, kebimbangan dan harapan masa depan.

Membina kemahiran, membentuk masa depan generasi muda.

Last Friday at Stutong, Breakthrough Network Centre hosted a Motorcycle Repair Workshop with over 30 youths. It was a hands-on session filled with learning and practical skills for everyday life.

We were also honored to have YB Welfred Yap engage in a dialogue with the youths, where they shared their aspirations, concerns, and ideas for the future.

Building skills, shaping lives, and empowering the next generation.

沙子看似平静，却一直在流动。

有时候我会想，
我们是不是也在这样的“流沙”上建造——
成就、金钱、环境，甚至当下的感觉。

这些东西并不是不好，
只是，它们会改变。

那什么才是
真正可以承载一生的根基？

看着孩子在沙滩上玩耍，
忽然有个很简单却很真实的提醒：
当潮水退去，
留下来的，才是真正重要的。

或许我们都在寻找一个

Like the gentle waves, life keeps moving, sometimes calm, sometimes uncertain.
Yet what we build, like the small sandcastle behind, may not last forever.

What truly remains is what we impart: love, faith, guidance, and presence.

Children may not remember every word we speak,
but they will remember who walked beside them.

𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗸𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗼𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶 | 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝘂𝗯

Sabtu lalu, komuniti kami telah berkumpul di Stutong Learning Hub untuk satu sesi perkongsian yang bermakna bersama Penceramah, Pengarah Hong Boon Swee, dengan tema “Berilmu, Hidup Bermakna”.

Dalam perkongsian beliau, Tuan Hong mengingatkan kita bahawa walaupun keputusan akademik itu penting, ia bukanlah asas utama yang menopang kehidupan. Keputusan mungkin membuka peluang, tetapi sahsiah, integriti, ketabahan dan sikap yang menentukan keupayaan seseorang untuk terus berdiri ketika berdepan cabaran hidup.

Satu kebenaran yang sangat menyentuh ialah: di mana kita bermula tidak menentukan di mana kita berakhir — asas hidup kitalah yang menentukan. Apabila pelajar dibentuk dalam persekitaran yang betul, pertumbuhan mereka melangkaui gred dan membentuk siapa diri mereka sebenarnya.

Di Breakthrough, pelajar bukan masalah untuk dibaiki, tetapi insan untuk dibina. Apabila ibu bapa, pelajar dan pusat berjalan bersama sebagai satu pasukan, pertumbuhan yang bermakna dan berkekalan dapat berlaku.

Last Saturday, our community gathered at Stutong Learning Hub for a meaningful sharing session led by Director Hong Boon Swee, under the theme “Berilmu, Hidup Bermakna (Knowledge That Leads to a Meaningful Life)”.

In his talk, Hong reminded us that while academic results are important, they are not what ultimately hold a life together. Results may open doors, but it is character, integrity, perseverance, and attitude that sustain a person through life’s storms.

One truth stood out powerfully: where we begin does not determine where we end. What determines our future is the foundation we build.

When students are nurtured in the right environment, growth goes beyond grades and shapes who they become.

At Breakthrough, students are not problems to be fixed, but lives to be nurtured. When parents, students, and the centre walk together as one team, meaningful and lasting growth happens.

It was a timely reminder for parents and students alike, to pursue knowledge with purpose, and to build lives not just for examinations, but for life.

Sometimes life feels unsafe—like a wolf has entered the space, bringing fear and confusion. Our instinct is to react quickly or add more noise.

But then comes the owl.

The owl doesn’t panic. It watches quietly in the night, reminding us that silence is not emptiness—it’s a moment to see clearly and rebuild wisely.

At Breakthrough Network Centre, we believe real change often begins in these quiet moments. When noise fades, compassion becomes clearer. When fear settles, purpose rises.

We choose to stay present—listening, serving, and walking with people—until light returns. 🌱

What a joyful and meaningful day at our Stutong Learning Hub as we celebrated Christmas together with our amazing volunteers, sponsors, donors, facilitators and precious Learning Centre kids. Grateful for every smile, laughter, and moment shared. Our sincere appreciation to our VIP Guest, YB Wilfred Yap, for joining us and encouraging our community. 🎉 What an inspiring day with Katimas Group!

We had a truly fruitful time at the Katimas Community Event this past Saturday, December 6th, held at the lovely Wild Pantry Restaurant!

Our members benefited greatly from the KMM Representatives, who shared valuable insights on handling work stress. Meanwhile, our youths were given fantastic guidance on their options after SPM, helping them gain a better understanding of the exciting career paths available to them.

It was an amazing day connecting with the organizers and other NGOs who were also invited. A big thank you to Katimas Group for the warm invitation, the meaningful sessions, and for the thoughtful goodies bags we all received!

A memorable and impactful event for us and our youths! 🙏
