What an incredible journey it has been! St. John Ambulance Sarawak is beyond proud of the unwavering commitment shown by our 80 amazing volunteers during the Temasya Sukan Malaysia (SUKMA) 2024. From the Wushu arena to the cricket fields, from athletics to women's football, our team was there every step of the way, ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone involved.
Despite facing the challenge of limited resources and having only three ambulances at our disposal, you rose to the occasion with determination and heart. For 13 days, through long hours and unpredictable conditions, you provided critical support and care. You weren’t just volunteers—you were the heartbeat of this event, giving over 5300 man hours of your time, energy, and expertise.
To each and every one of you who contributed at Wushu, Olahraga, Bola Sepak Wanita, Kriket, the KKM Emergency Operations Room, and the KKM Static Clinic—thank you. Your hard work and dedication didn’t go unnoticed. The positive feedback we’ve received from medical officers and event organizers is a testament to the incredible service you provided.
Together, we’ve shown that with heart and determination, we can overcome any challenge. Let's carry this spirit forward, knowing that our work makes a real difference in our community.
