• Every denial of the Gospel of Grace is tantamount to betrayal.
• We hear stories of betrayal every now and then.
• And the Bible records many stories, real life experience in our Bible stories.
• Even in our personal life we are being betrayed by our best friend.
• How do we feel?
• The question lies why people (own family members)betray someone whom they trust.
• Is it because of money, position, greed, property or any other thing which is unimaginable?
• Even in the Body of Christ there is betrayal.
• Let us look into King David’s experience.
• 1 Samuel 17:28-31
• 28 When Eliab, David’s oldest brother, heard him speaking with the men, he burned with anger at him and asked, “Why have you come down here? And with whom did you leave those few sheep in the wilderness? I know how conceited you are and how wicked your heart is; you came down only to watch the battle.”
• 29 “Now what have I done?” said David. “Can’t I even speak?” 30 He then turned away to someone else and brought up the same matter, and the men answered him as before. 31 What David said was overheard and reported to Saul, and Saul sent for him.
• It was more towards jealousy thinking what a young rugged shepherd boy could do.
• This shepherd boy pursued what God has put into his heart and became a giant killer.
• It didn’t stop there, another betrayal came along added with jealousy.
• But what is the greatest betrayal in the New Covenant.
• Immediately people will say Judas betrayed Jesus.
• But, Judas is not the only one who betrayed Jesus but Peter denied Him three times and the c**k crowed three times.
• At the crucifixion there were only four woman and one disciple.(John the youngest disciple) Where are the rest?
• Either they are fearful or being betrayed?
• Their expectation of who Jesus was is not fulfilled to them.
• They went away until the third day.
• Isaiah 53:6
• 6We all like sheep have gone astray, each one has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid upon Him the iniquity of us all.
• John 1:16-17
• 16 [a]And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
• Only with Jesus you can receive grace and truth.
• Colossians 2:9-10
• 9For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, 10and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority.
• So the fullness of God dwells in Christ. Everything we could possibly need is in Jesus.
• Denying the gospel of Grace is as good as betrayal or denying Jesus and His finished work.
• John 1:14
• The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
• Matthew 10
• 32Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father in heaven. 33But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven
• Galatians 3:1-3
• 3 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
• 2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
• 3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
• Galatians 2:16
• 16 know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in[a] Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
• Matthew 7:21
• 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
• Hebrew 10:9
• then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.” He takes away the first that He may establish the second.
• Living under Grace is not betraying Jesus.
• Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
• Under grace you are found in Him.
• You are in Christ Jesus receiving every favor and blessings of God.
• You will proclaim what He did for you and always enjoy the abundance of His blessings. Amen
• Mark 8:38
• 38 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”
• Rejecting grace is rejecting what Jesus did on the cross.
• Redeeming you from all your sins.
• Romans 4 (6-7)
• 5 But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, 6 just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:
• 7 “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven,
And whose sins are covered;
