MATTA Pahang attended the Program Jalinan Industri Pelancongan Negeri Pahang dan Kesalinghubungan Digital Bersama MCMC 2026 on 20 August 2026, represented by Committee Member, En. Alif Aidil Akmal.

The discussion focused on the proposed organisation of a workshop with Pahang tourism industry players to provide exposure to MCMC NEXUS, digital connectivity issues, and the proper channels for submitting complaints related to communication services.

The programme also discussed the collection of information and data on network coverage and communication quality in tourism areas, involving industry players such as hotels, resorts, chalets, homestays, travel agencies, travel agents, and tour guides. The workshop is proposed to be held in late September or early October 2026, in collaboration with the relevant parties.

MATTA Pahang was represented by Committee Members, Mr. Thiru and Ms. Sherine, at the Mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Induk Temasya Orang Pahang (TOP) Bil. 1/2026, held on 13 August 2026 at the Bilik Gerakan Daerah, Blok B, Pejabat Daerah dan Tanah Bentong, Pahang.

The meeting discussed the upcoming Temasya Orang Pahang (TOP), which will be held from 9 to 11 October 2026 at Dataran Bentong, Pahang, as part of the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) programme. The event aims to showcase the diversity of Pahang’s authentic arts, culture and heritage through an inclusive and interactive programme, while creating a positive impact on the state’s cultural tourism sector.

MATTA Pahang is pleased to be part of the organising committee and looks forward to contributing towards the success of TOP 2026 while supporting efforts to promote Pahang as a vibrant cultural tourism destination.

MATTA Pahang paid a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) Pahang on 11 August 2026, held at the MOTAC Pahang Office. MATTA Pahang was represented by Chairman, En. Mohd Amirizuan Bin Ahmad, together with Committee Member, En. Alif Aidil Akmal.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity for MATTA Pahang and MOTAC to strengthen their relationship and discuss matters related to the development of the tourism industry in Pahang. Among the key discussions were the proposed Fun Run in April 2027, including activities at each drop point and the proposal to be brought to the EXCO, as well as concerns regarding unlicensed tourism operators and the need for closer monitoring.

The discussion also touched on the current issues and challenges faced by tourism industry players, as well as the development of inbound tourism products and the role of travel agents in increasing international tourist arrivals to Malaysia.

MATTA Pahang looks forward to continued collaboration with MOTAC in strengthening the tourism industry, addressing industry concerns, and exploring future initiatives that can contribute to the growth of tourism in Pahang.

MATTA Pahang welcomed a courtesy visit from Mangala Resort on 10 August 2026, held at the MATTA Pahang Office. MATTA Pahang was represented by Chairman, En. Mohd Amirizuan Bin Ahmad.

The courtesy visit provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen the relationship between Mangala Resort and MATTA Pahang, while fostering closer engagement and collaboration within the tourism industry.

MATTA Pahang was represented by IPC Mr. Alex Chea as a VIP guest at the Bodybuilding Competition organised by the Pahang Bodybuilding Association and its federation, held on 8 August 2026 at Kuantan Parade.

The event was officially officiated by Dato’ Lee Chai Wah and brought together bodybuilding enthusiasts, athletes, and industry representatives in support of the development of sports and fitness in Pahang.

MATTA Pahang Chapter was represented by Deputy Chairman Ms. Stephanie, together with committee member En. Alif, at MATTA Connect 2026, held on 29–30 July 2026 at Hotel by Marriott, Ipoh.

MATTA Connect served as a valuable platform for industry players to strengthen networking, exchange insights, and explore new business opportunities within the tourism and travel sector. The programme brought together MATTA members, tourism stakeholders, and strategic partners to foster closer collaboration and discuss current industry developments.

Through their participation, MATTA Pahang reaffirmed its commitment to staying actively engaged with the latest tourism initiatives while expanding professional networks that will contribute to the growth of the tourism industry in Pahang. The event also provided an opportunity to build stronger relationships with industry counterparts and identify potential collaborations that will benefit MATTA members and support the continued development of Malaysia’s tourism sector.

MATTA Pahang Chapter’s newly appointed committee for the 2026–2029 term, represented by Chairman En. Amir and Committee Member En. Alif held a meeting with En Azizul, Pengarah Tourism Malaysia on 24 July 2026 to officially introduce the new committee and strengthen cooperation between both parties.

The meeting also focused on preparations and planning for the upcoming MATTA Fair Pahang in October 2026, including feedback from the previous MATTA Fair. Tourism Malaysia shared that the previous participation generated approximately RM250,000 in sales, while several activities were proposed for the upcoming fair, including student packages and LEGO Land activities.

Discussions also covered the proposal to develop a candat sotong tourism programme with suitable travel packages for the following year, as well as the organisation of a treasure hunt activity, potentially in collaboration with ECRL. In addition, the meeting explored the possibility of preparing a proposal to organise a MATTA Fair in the East Coast region and organising a hosted FAM trip involving travel agents and influencers to promote tourism products and destinations.

MATTA Pahang Chapter’s newly appointed committee for the 2026–2029 term, represented by Chairman En. Amir and Committee Member En. Alif, held a meeting with En. Mohd Izuddin, Head of the Community and Sports Division, on 23 July 2026 at the Meeting Room of the Tourism and Community Unit.

The meeting served as an opportunity to officially introduce the new committee and discuss potential collaboration between MATTA Pahang and Majlis Bandaraya Kuantan (MBK) in promoting tourism in Kuantan. MATTA Pahang also expressed its intention to introduce travel agencies operating in Kuantan to MBK.

Discussions focused on initiatives to attract more tourists to Kuantan, including the promotion of the ECRL, beaches, and local tourism products and attractions. Suggestions were also shared on leveraging initiatives such as Keretapi Sarong to promote the ECRL and encourage tourism to Kuantan. The upcoming Temasha Warisan Kebudayaan, scheduled from 28 September to 7 October, was also discussed.
