The Kuantan 188 Skydeck visit was arranged for MATTA Pahang Chapter members in conjunction with the AGM. The Committee would like to extend its appreciation to Kuantan 188 for the kind hospitality and for hosting this special experience.

Members had the opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view of Kuantan from the iconic skydeck, creating a meaningful and enjoyable networking session.

The MATTA Pahang Chapter 24th Annual General Meeting was successfully held. The Committee extends its sincere appreciation to Kuantan 188 for sponsoring the meeting hall.

MATTA President, Mr. Nigel Wong, was in attendance, engaging with members and showing continued support at the Chapter level.

The AGM concluded with the reaffirmation of En. Mohd Amirizuan Bin Ahmad as Chairman, alongside Ms. Chong Lee Kheow (Deputy Chairman) and Mr. Khaidir Bin Khalid (Honorary Treasurer) for the 2026–2029 term.

MATTA Pahang Chapter, represented by Mr. Alex Chea, recently attended a meeting with MBK to discuss collaborative initiatives in promoting tourism in Kuantan and the surrounding areas. The session focused on strengthening engagement between MATTA members and MBK, while exploring opportunities for joint activities and promotions.

Key discussions included the introduction of a QR Code system for Kuantan Tourism Products, allowing visitors to easily access information on local attractions. MATTA Pahang was also encouraged to send requests to MBK for any special group visits, with potential activities including a welcome dance at Serambi, excursions to Sungai Lembing, and other experiences to be discussed further.

MBK confirmed their participation in MATTA Fair, with the Director expressing enthusiasm for future engagement with MATTA members. Additionally, both parties explored collaboration for the Bubble Run event and the upcoming MBK Tourism Gathering, aimed at promoting local tourism.

This meeting highlights the ongoing collaboration between MATTA Pahang and MBK to enhance tourism promotion, create engaging experiences for visitors, and strengthen the local travel industry.

MATTA Pahang Chapter, represented by Mr. Alex Chea, attended a meeting with Tourism Pahang, Ms Nalini as part of ongoing preparations for the upcoming MATTA Fair and in support of Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026). The meeting brought together key stakeholders to discuss collaborative strategies aimed at enhancing tourism promotion and improving the overall impact of the event.

Key discussions included a proposal to upgrade the event experience by replacing the stage backdrop with an LED screen, subject to full booth occupancy. This initiative is aimed at creating a more dynamic and engaging environment for visitors. The meeting also explored opportunities to further promote Tourism Pahang products, with a focus on highlighting local attractions and travel offerings during the fair.

The session also emphasised the importance of continuous collaboration between MATTA Pahang Chapter and Tourism Pahang, particularly in driving effective promotional strategies and ensuring the success of MATTA Fair and Visit Malaysia 2026 initiatives.

The discussion focused on joint promotional initiatives, with Tourism Malaysia expressing support to further amplify MATTA Fair’s visibility through pre-event radio promotions and coordinated marketing efforts. Both parties also agreed on the importance of sharing exhibitor information to avoid overlap among participating agents, ensuring a more organised and effective fair.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment between MATTA Pahang Chapter and Tourism Malaysia to drive stronger tourism growth, particularly in promoting domestic travel, while ensuring the success of MATTA Fair and Visit Malaysia 2026 initiatives.

FAM Trip Kuantan, Pahang | 5–7 November

MATTA Pahang, in collaboration with Tourism Pahang and with the support of MATTA members, successfully hosted a FAM Trip from 5–7 November, welcoming travel agents and content creators to explore the beautiful destinations of Kuantan!

Participants had the chance to experience local attractions, cultural spots, and the best of Pahang’s hospitality. A big thank you to everyone who joined and made this trip memorable!
