OC Hwung together with 3 members and 3 volunteers were involved in the cleaning of thrash consisting of plastic bottles, cloths & coconut leaves in the pond.

Date: 14.3.2026
Duration: 9.00am to 1.30pm
Location: A pond outside the compound of SJKC Chung Ching 2 , Kuantan.

A total of 80 bags of garbage were collected. We would like to thank President Sam for providing a fibre glass boat and lorry and a friend of Lions for requesting 3 volunteers in providing their man power.

A token sum were presented to the volunteers as our token of appreciation for assisting us in today's project.

President Sam Choon Chiong together with IPP Teo Meng Kiang attended several activities organised by SJKC Kee Wha , Nenasi，Pekan on 12.2.2026.
-caligraphy on Chinese New Year greetings
- receiving mandarin oranges in conjunction with Chinese New Year which is around the corner.
-A member from our club donated a unit of printer to the school
President Sam and IPP Teo also took a picture of the shelter which was being refurnished from the inisiative of our President when members visited the school last year.
The total cost of rm11,000 was donated by Mr Tang King Hua a friend of Lion Hwung.

On 29.1.2026, Our club donated a token sum of rm300 to Lions Club of KB Centennial which appealed for Lions Clubs to donate towards the surgery cost for 7 year old Boy Fang Zhen Jie who underwent a cochlea implant surgery in Kuching.

He had severe hearing impairment which didnt improve with a hearing aid. The surgery cost of rm90,000 will be raised by CCEP Foundation.

26.1.2026-President Sam Choon Chiong together with 6 members & 2 friends of Lions bought groceries consisting of cooking oil, sardine canned food, milo, coffee, margarine, kaya, sugar & condense milk for 65 multi racial residents at Pantai Selamat Nursing Home Kuantan.

K3 metal company Kuantan donated 5 boxes of mandarin oranges in conjunction of Chinese New Year which is around the corner.

President Sam & Lion Chin Kong Soon also made personal cash donation towards this meaningful project.

24.1.2026-3rd Zone Meeting at Hotel Seasons View Kuantan. A total of 28 lions from 6 Clubs of Zone 3 attended the meeting chaired by Zone 3 Chairperson Leong Chee Kim.
