We Care Project
10th October 2023
SJKT Kuala Reman

On the 10th of October, the IWC Kuantan Indera Mahkota members visited SJKT Kuala Reman to handover some stationeries and First Aid Kit as part of the We Care project that is conducted annually.
Mr Vishnu, the headmaster of the school was very delighted to receive us. We also had the opportunity to meet the students and share some experiences with the teachers there.
On the whole it was a very meaningful project and the Club will continue its agenda in empowering women and children.

36th Installation of the President of IWC Kuantan /Indera Mahkota

The installation of the 36th President of IWC Kuantan Indera Mahkota was a very colourful and jovial event. Guests attended the event dressed in their best Hawaiian outfits. The event was also attended by the District Chairman Kamala Yeap, District Vice Chairman Vimalavathi as well as members from other Inner Wheel clubs which included IWC Parklands and IWC Klang.
The guests were entreated to classical Indian dance performance as well as a violin recital. They were then brought back to their childhood days with a game of puzzle conducted by the 12 year old Niranjana and the table that completed first was announced as the winner. Guests were thoroughly entertained and complimented the Organizing Committee for a well organised event.

6 members of IWC Kuantan Indera Mahkota attended the District AGM on the 23rd of September 2023. The fellowship night was held on 22nd the night before the DAGM and the members had fun throughout enjoying the many performances by other inner wheel clubs.
It was also a very memorable night as our club managed to exchange flags with the IWC of Kampala, Uganda, the IWC of Kampala Central, the IWC of Johor Bahru and the IWC of Kota Kinabalu.

DC's Official Club Visit
30th September 2023
Megaview Hotel

The IWC Kuantan Indera Mahkota held its official DC's Club Visit on the 30th of September. President Sri Shangari chaired the meeting and a few meaningful club activities were discussed for the term. DC Kamala Yeap attended the meeting and delivered her address to the members who attended.
The meeting was wrapped up with a short photo session and members left early so they could attend the Installation of the 36th President later that evening.

2nd Club Meeting
8th August 2023

The monthly meeting of Inner Wheel Club of Kuantan/ Indera Mahkota was held at President Sri Shangari’s Residence on 8th August around 8 PM. All of us enjoyed the ‘Mee-Curry’ prepared by our president along with ‘Kuih’ sponsored by PP Sherifah & IPP Renuha and ‘Hot Cinnamon Tea’ prepared by PP Viji. Candle of friendship was lit by Madam Miruna and the meeting continued with discussions regarding the 36th President’s installation on 30th September. A new member Dr. Nandhini was inducted by our Charter President Dato Pathma. Members cheered and welcomed her to the club. The meeting ended with birthday celebrations and photo session.

Celebrating Friendship

The ladies of Inner Wheel Club of Kuantan/ Indera Mahkota met on 6th August Sunday noon at Ms Elliot Café to celebrate the honour received by our Charter President Dato’ Pathma Ramanathan. She was awarded DIMP which carries the title ‘Dato’ by the ruler of Pahang on 4th August. We also celebrated the birthday of four August born beauties – Charter President Dato’ Pathma, PP Renuka, PP Datin Seri’ Suja and Committee member Miruna on that day. Madam Shakuntala, a friend of Dato’ Pathma since her childhood days also joined the occasion. Madam Miruna treated us with a wonderful lunch at Bayleaf Restaurant on 3rd August and celebrated her birthday with fun and laughter. This month August kicked off with lots of celebrations, love and togetherness.

IWC Kuantan /Indera Mahkota had it's final meeting for the IW year 2022 - 2023 at the beautiful residence of Pres Sri Shangari on the 13th of June.
The meeting started off with PP Vijaya Nair lighting the Candle of Friendship. It ws indeed a very happy moment for all members present when Pres Shangari agreed to hold on to the President's post for the coming IW year 2023-2024. Thank you Pres Shangari.
Food was yummy and we were also treated to Pani puri which was made specially by our very own PP Vijaya Nair.
Everyone went home with lovely Kolkatta bangles of various colours which was given to us by PP Vijaya Nair.

HARI RAYA FELLOWSHIP AND 9TH MEETING 2022/2023

Sunday 07th May 2023

It was indeed a beautiful evening full of fellowship and friendship as members of the Inner Wheel club of Kuantan/ Indera Mahkota met for their Club meeting at Puan Nejmah's beautiful residence.

Pres Shangari had a very brief meeting with the hostess lighting the Candle of Friendship. Members also had a good time as they had Hari Raya celebrations. Food was really delicious with Nasi Dagang and sate.
Members danced sang n had a good time.
Thank you to members Nejmah, T Idza, Sherifah and Siti for the good celebrations.

It was indeed a beautiful evening full of excitement, fellowship and friendship.
