A special pre-screening of NAKAWAN – The Living Soul of Perlis (Nadi Bumi Perlis) was held at Kampung Warna-Warni, Kuala Perlis, ahead of its upcoming broadcast on Astro. The event was graced by the Menteri Besar of Perlis, YAB Tuan Abu Bakar Hamzah.
The documentary highlights the ecological, cultural, and historical significance of the Nakawan Range, Malaysia’s oldest limestone formation stretching approximately 36 kilometres from Wang Kelian to Kuala Perlis. Produced by Roots & Shoots Malaysia, it showcases the unique landscapes, biodiversity, local communities, and living heritage that make Nakawan the “Living Soul of Perlis” and the heartbeat of the state's natural and socio-cultural identity. as a project that documents the importance of the Nakawan Range as the backbone of Perlis’ ecosystem and socio-cultural heritage.
