Rumah Kita Founded in May 2015 by the late Vimmi Razak, our NGO is a transit shelter home dedicated to supporting single pregnant mothers.

Located in Pandan Jaya, we operate entirely on 100% donations, providing a safe and nurturing environment for those in need.

This has unfortunately become an all too familiar sight for us, our car being towed yet again.

And when our car breaks down, it isn’t simply an inconvenience.
It means our children are left waiting when it is time to go to or return from school. It means our pregnant mothers may face delays getting to their hospital appointments, clinic check-ups or, when the time comes, to the hospital to safely deliver their babies.

At Rumah Kita, our two vehicles are an essential part of our daily operations. One is mainly used for the children’s school routine, while the other helps transport our residents for hospital visits, antenatal appointments, clinic visits, deliveries and other needs.

But both vehicles are ageing, and the constant breakdowns, repairs and monthly maintenance costs are becoming increasingly difficult for us to sustain.

Today, we are reaching out for help.
We urgently welcome contributions towards our vehicle repair and maintenance costs so that we can keep both cars safely on the road.

And if there is an individual, company or organisation who may have a reliable second-hand vehicle that you are willing to donate to Rumah Kita, it would be an incredible gift to our home, to sustain our daily operations.

We pray that Mummy S will be blessed with strength, courage, and love as she embraces this beautiful journey of motherhood. May she always protect, nurture, and cherish her precious child.

At Rumah Kita, our commitment goes beyond providing a safe shelter. We walk alongside every mother, offering care, guidance, and support so that they can rebuild their lives with dignity while giving their children the love they deserve.

Every new life that enters Rumah Kita is a beautiful reminder of hope, love, and new beginnings.

Here, we warmly welcome two beautiful babies into our Rumah Kita family, weighing 2.90kg and 2.51kg. They are our 425th and 426th babies.

As Mummy D and Mummy S embark on this chapter of motherhood, we pray that they will be blessed with strength, good health, and courage to raise their precious child with love and confidence.

To our little babies, welcome to the world. May your lives always be surrounded by love, kindness and hope.

Setiap kelahiran yang disambut di Rumah Kita adalah satu sinar harapan, kasih sayang dan permulaan baharu yang amat bermakna.

Di sini, hati kami dipenuhi rasa syukur dan kegembiraan menyambut kehadiran dua bayi yang comel, masing-masing seberat 2.90kg dan 2.51kg. Mereka merupakan bayi ke-425 dan ke-426.

Kami mendoakan agar Mummy D dan Mummy S sentiasa dikurniakan kekuatan dan kesihatan, dalam memulakan perjalanan indah sebagai seorang ibu, membesarkan anak kesayangan mereka dengan penuh kasih sayang.

On the 12th July 2026, our residents had the opportunity to take part in a beautiful botanical tile-making workshop, where they first ventured outdoors to collect leaves, flowers, and plants before carefully pressing them into clay to create their own unique handcrafted tiles.

More than just an art activity, it was a meaningful experience that encouraged creativity, teamwork, and appreciation for nature. It was heartwarming to see everyone taking part in the process, and proudly creating something they could truly call their own.

A heartfelt thank you to Vitamin (C)raft Club and volunteers for making this programme possible for our residents. Your kindness, time, and effort brought so much joy, and unforgettable memories to everyone at Rumah Kita. We are truly grateful for your support.

A heartfelt thank you to Selangor Youth Community for inviting our Rumah Kita residents to be part of the TrAInocate Career Jumpstart 30: AI Toolkit programme on 20 June 2026 at Sunway Hotel.

This programme gave our residents not just new access and meaningful opportunity but also a valuable introduction to Artificial Intelligence, digital tools, creative thinking and the possibilities that technology can open for the future.

It was an honour for the event to be graced by Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Raja Muda Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah. His presence made the day even more meaningful and inspiring for the participants.

Today, our hearts are full. Seeing our children receive these awards is a beautiful reminder that they are not only loving school, but growing in confidence, determination and hope for the future.

We are deeply grateful to the students, teachers and management of Epsom College Malaysia for their recent contribution, and for continuing to walk this journey with us for the last seven years. Your support goes far beyond a donation. It helps us continue our works in providing for the mothers and children of our shelter and a renewed hope for them whose lives begin here.

When a school community chooses kindness, it teaches something far more powerful than any classroom lesson: that every life matters, every mother deserves dignity, and every child deserves the chance to grow up safe and loved.

Recently, our children from Rumah Kita were truly honoured to receive a special invitation from to Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS for a rare and meaningful musical experience.

For them, it was their very first time stepping into the beautiful concert hall, and seeing the majestic Klais Pipe Organ up close was already something unforgettable. They were given the opportunity to witness live demonstrations by renowned organist Michael Schönheit, while also listening to his inspiring sharing session about his musical journey, experiences, and passion for music.

Beyond just the performance itself, it was an eye-opening and interactive learning experience for our children, exposing them to the beauty of classical music, culture, creativity, and the arts in such a prestigious setting. Watching their curiosity, and joy throughout the session was truly heartwarming.

Experiences like these mean so much because it remind our children that they too deserve opportunities to explore the world beyond their everyday environment, to dream bigger, learn new things, and create beautiful memories.

We are deeply grateful to Heavenly Star Music for continuously including our children in such meaningful events and for always making them feel seen, valued, and welcomed.
