🌍 Warm greetings to all Tamil people living across the world!

🚢 The stories of our ancestors who crossed the seas, the challenges they faced, and the progress we have achieved today are not merely pieces of information—they are histories that deserve to be documented.

💻 Tamilar Thadam is a free and open digital knowledge platform created by the Government of Tamil Nadu through the Department of Welfare of Non-Resident Tamils and Rehabilitation. It aims to research and document the histories, data, and experiences of Tamils living across the globe, especially those who migrated during the colonial period.

📄 The primary objective of this platform is to function as a unified digital encyclopedia by consolidating data and information about Tamils living worldwide in one place.

🎓 The articles submitted to this platform will be reviewed by two distinguished professors specializing in Tamil history and migration studies before being published on the website.

✍️ These articles will not only benefit the present Tamil community but will also help future generations understand the journeys and paths their ancestors have taken. There is no doubt that Tamilar Thadam will serve as a valuable resource in this regard.
