SMC YouthCore initiative Rising Thalaimurai brought together young leaders who stepped forward not just to teach, but to inspire, mentor, and remind every child that leadership begins with compassion, courage, and the willingness to uplift others.

𝐒𝐌𝐂 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐇𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐆𝐋𝐎𝐁𝐀𝐋 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐇 𝐕𝐎𝐋𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐔𝐌

SMC YouthCore had the privilege of participating in the Global Youth Voluntary Forum 2026, organised by MOVE Malaysia in collaboration with the International Youth Centre and the Network for Volunteer Development in ASEAN.

The forum brought together volunteer leaders and organisations from over 15 countries, including Japan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Singapore, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Macau, and many more. It was an invaluable platform to exchange ideas, explore international collaborations, and gain insights into the global landscape of youth development and volunteerism.

We also had the privilege to share the work and initiatives we have been doing at grassroots and community level. The response was very encouraging, with strong openness from various organisations and countries for future collaboration, including border-to-border volunteer engagement and joint youth development initiatives.

Looking forward to building meaningful partnerships and creating greater impact together.

A dedicated young leader with a strong passion for community service and youth empowerment, Pravhilan has consistently demonstrated commitment, responsibility and leadership in advancing SMC's mission.
