The Rotary Club of Lake Gardens Kuala Lumpur and Rotary Club of Bangalore Kalyan from India renewed their sister club agreement in a warm and vibrant ceremony held on 24th July at India Gate, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.
Members from both clubs gathered to witness the signing, which reaffirms the long-standing friendship and commitment to work together for the betterment of society.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Assistant Governor Mahendran Daniel, who served as the official witness for this meaningful occasion.
Through this renewed partnership, both clubs have pledged to collaborate on community service projects, educational initiatives, healthcare awareness, and other impactful programs that benefit communities locally and internationally. The agreement symbolizes a continued effort to build bridges of friendship and cooperation between Malaysia and India.
President of Rotary Club of Lake Gardens Kuala Lumpur, Mr. Anbuselvan Sengodan, shared his thoughts, saying,
“With our guiding motto ‘Unite for Good’, this agreement is not just a formal renewal but a commitment to strengthen goodwill, understanding, and impactful service across borders.”
After the signing, members enjoyed a traditional Indian meal served on banana leaves, celebrating cultural unity and fellowship. Music and light entertainment added warmth to the occasion, reflecting the spirit of Rotary’s mission to bring people together for good causes.
Members expressed their excitement about upcoming joint projects and visits that will further deepen the bond between the two clubs.
