Siswa Merdeka is an online awareness campaign for student empowerment. This campaign is launched in support of th
e eight students from the University of Malaya (commonly known as the "UM8") that have been charged by their university administration for organising an event which featured the opposition leader. We strongly oppose the charges made against them, and therefore call upon the authorities to be impartial and respect the students' rights.
As a starting point, we will have a session with several student activists (Fahmi Zainol & Woon King Chai) on the 6th of December 2014. The week after, we will be officially launching the Siswa Merdeka campaign. Admission is free & the public is encouraged to attent. Tweet us (without the 'e')
