Welcome to Malaysian Student Exchange Program for all beloved future pharmacists! Reminder! It just gets better every year! Come and have your SEP in Malaysia!

Student Exchange Program (SEP) is an annual mobility program organized by International Pharmaceutical Students' Federation (IPSF) and Malaysia is one of the participating countries joining under the name of Malaysian Pharmacy Students' Association (MyPSA). SEP creates opportunities for pharmacy students from around the world to experience firsthand on how pharmacy profession is practiced in other countries. Outgoing SEP (Local students):
SEP IPSF starts a new tenure in October every year. November and December are the months where the application is open for the local student which is a MyPSA member to join SEP. Student can choose whether to join Winter SEP (October-March) or Summer SEP (April-September). Stay focus on the deadline & make sure a good resume & motivational letter are prepared. The list of SEP countries can be checked at sep.ipsf.org

Incoming SEP (International students):
MyPSA conducts SEP around July to August every year (Summer). Besides learning the pharmacy setting in Malaysia, you will also be able to enjoy the beauty & the various culture in Malaysia. The Student Exchange Officer of Malaysia for 2021/22 is Michelle Goy and can be reached at [email protected]

My SEP journey at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan

During my SEP, I had the opportunity to work in the laboratory alongside Master’s and PhD students and take part in their research projects. They patiently guided me through the experiments and procedures, allowing me to learn new research techniques, gain valuable knowledge, and experience what research is like in a real laboratory setting.

To future SEP participants: Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Stay humble, keep learning, and always stay hungry for knowledge and new experiences. ✨

Hello 👋, I am Jing Ru and I was lucky enough to spend my SEP at Taipei Medical University (TMU) 🤩

Most of my days were spent in the lab, where I got to learn and try techniques like Western blotting, cell culture, extraction and tissue sectioning. Honestly, I made so many memories and learned so much during these two weeks that this video can only capture a small part of it 😭👉👈

Beyond the lab, I was also really glad to meet the amazing TMU students and other participants from different countries, explore Taipei 🇹🇼, eat good food and make so many unforgettable memories 🫶💖

If I could give one piece of advice, it would be: Be open to new experiences and make the most of every moment ✨

Take a look at the special moments our incoming students shared with our LEO and their buddies.

We had fun together, visited a few places, and held an SEP weekend for bonding. Not only did our subcommittee and buddies learn about foreign cultures, but the incoming students also had the opportunity to learn about ours.
