Deepening India–Malaysia ties 🇮🇳🤝🇲🇾

Following the 22nd ASEAN-India Summit and East Asia Summit meetings as well as bilateral meetings with Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur earlier this week, the following initiatives will be implemented to deepen 🇮🇳🇲🇾 people-to-people, academic and cultural ties:

✅ OCI registration for Indian-origin Malaysians extended up to 6th generation Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)

✅RM 3 million to be augmented to the corpus of Indian Scholarship & Trust Fund (ISTF)

✅ICCR’s inaugural Thiruvalluvar Chair of Indian Studies established at Universiti Malaya
