Speaker Profile:
Dr Tan Sin Guan is the National Director of Campus Crusade for Christ Malaysia and a regional leader with CRU International. He is also a certified Master Coach, helping people find meaning and purpose in life and work.

He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Malaya, a Master of Divinity from EAST (Singapore), and a Ph.D. from Bangor University (UK), focusing on the meaning of life based on Ecclesiastes.

After working in a Japanese finance company, Dr Tan answered God’s call into full-time ministry. He has served for over 28 years in various leadership roles, including leadership development, human resources, and marketplace ministry. He also mentors leaders and teaches in seminaries.

Dr Tan is married to Dr Voon. They have three adult children and two daughters-in-law. Together, they are passionate about strengthening marriages and have been coaching and mentoring couples for over 28 years.

Story Shared:
I would like to share my good news to you, bro Richard. By God’s grace, my wife and I have completely restored our relationship recently in March 2026. Praise God for His miracle works! FYI, we have not slept together for around 10 years and she has moved out of our home for 2 years. But came back last November, still the same and continue to give problems, scolding our daughter and blaming me for everything and even planned to divorce me.

I was very disappointed and I started to question God on why He sent her back to give me trauma, anger, and disappointment. Then God messaged me to shut my mouth. Then after 4 months things started to turn around and our relationship was restored and we reconciled. Today we want to express our thanks to you and your team for counseling efforts, the patience and countless hours of journeying with us. My wife and I are deeply touched by both you and your wife’s humility and willingness to share your own marriage challenges. I hope that this testimony of ours will be an encouragement to you as you reach out to bless many more couples who are going through marital challenges. God bless you, your family and ministry. All glory to God!

"Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!"
Psalm 90:17

Our families are like a delicate structure—built day by day through our words, actions, and expressions of love. Just as a builder cannot rely on materials alone to create a strong and lasting structure, we cannot build enduring family relationships merely through human effort. We need God’s favor—His gracious presence resting upon our intentions and our work.

On Sunday 8/3/2026, Family First Malaysia completed the final module of its Better Families Discipleship Programme on the theme “The Favor of God,” conducted with Cornerstone Immanuel Church. The feedback from the church leadership was both positive and encouraging. Elder CE wrote: “We praise God for your faithfulness in serving the body of Christ and for imparting the Word of God in such a practical way. CI is truly grateful for the sacrifices made by you and your team. I pray that God will richly reward your service to Him and continue to use you to strengthen the body of Christ. Thank you.” Such words remind us that ministry is never a solo effort—it is the fruit of God’s grace working through willing hearts.

As we commit ourselves to building better families, may we daily ask God to establish the work of our hands—to guide our words, shape our attitudes, and strengthen our love for one another. With His favor upon us, our homes can truly become places of grace, hope, and spiritual growth.
