Alhamdulillah, it is my great pleasure to inform you that this is my second article written on apostasy entitled "Apostasy in Islamic Law:
An Analytical Study of the Four Sunni Schools of Jurisprudence, Contemporary Muslim Scholarship, and Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah" has been published in International Journal of Umranic Studies, under the Faculty of Islamic Development Management, Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali, Brunei.
I heartily thank my respected co-authors for their collective contributions and efforts to make this crucial and time-befitting article publishable.
I also humbly thank all the dignified reviewers whose intellectual efforts and comments made our article a piece of intellectual scholarship and filled up the gap of knowledge that we have explored for last 10 years. From the time of full development of this article to the time of publication, it took around 10 years. Alhamdulillah, despite 10 years efforts and many time rejections, the article finally has become a piece of intellectual scholarship and been published.
Hopefully, the ongoing debate regarding the killing of an apostate according to the Islamic law, will find a pathway and the article will contribute to remove the traditional and prevailing perception regarding the death penalty for an apostate from the mindset of common people and some groups of Ulama, insha Allah.
May Allah swt accept our all efforts for His pleasure and make this intellectual contribution a milestone for our beloved Ummah and other part of mankind. Ameen.
