The reality is clear — women in Malaysia do not lack capability. What remains lacking is a system that has yet to open space fairly and equitably.
For far too long, we have spoken about women’s representation in politics, yet progress remains painfully slow because it still relies heavily on voluntary approaches. That is no longer enough.
Through the Voices of HER Forum, we seek to deliver a clear message — the time has come for structural change, including serious consideration of policy and constitutional reforms, whether within the electoral system or the internal structures of political institutions themselves.
If we continue to operate within the same framework, the outcomes will remain the same. We can no longer afford to simply hope for change — we must act.
This forum is a step towards that goal — to ensure that women’s voices are not merely heard, but translated into real power and decision-making.
Inspired by YB Dato’ Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad, the forum was officiated by YAB Dato’ Seri Diraja Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail, Menteri Besar of Pahang, and further honoured by the presence of YB Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, as well as YB Datuk Seri Johari Ghani, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry.
