The Chartered Governance Institute of Malaysia (CGIM) has inaugurated Dipa Kaur FCIS (CS) (CGP) as its President for the 2026/2027 term. She succeeds Datoโ Akbar bin Moidunny, who assumes the role of Immediate Past President. ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฌ ๐ง๐๐ฑ๐ญ ๐๐ก๐๐ฉ๐ญ๐๐ซ ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ ๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐๐ ๐ข๐ง ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ฑ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐, ๐๐๐ฏ๐จ๐๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ฌ๐ก๐๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ ๐จ๐ ๐ ๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐ง๐๐ง๐๐.
As CGIM continues to grow, Dipa brings her strong visions on championing professional competency and development, strengthening student and members' engagement, advancing thought leadership and advocating best practices. CGIM will continue to lead meaningful dialogues with regulators, and reinforce accountability, integrity, and ethics in the profession's increasingly strategic role.
Governance is evolving rapidly. Technology, AI, sustainability, regulatory changes and rising expectations of corporate leadership are reshaping the responsibilities of chartered secretaries and governance professionals.
