🇲🇾 MERDEKA HEALTH CAMP 2026 | SERVING THE COMMUNITY WITH HEART 🇲🇾
Today was a deeply fulfilling day of service, solidarity and community spirit, as the Rotary Club of Bukit Jalil Kuala Lumpur, together with Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) Bukit Gasing Branch, came together to organise a Free Merdeka Health Camp for the local community.
Under the inspiring leadership of Dato’ Geethanjali, and with the dedicated support of our Rotary leadership team, including PAG Subra, AG Balraj and our
Past President Dr. Shyam, PE Raj , Rtn Sankarnaidu, Rtn Kodiswary the initiative brought together committed volunteers and compassionate hearts with one simple purpose to serve society and make a meaningful difference.
From health screenings, BMI and blood checks, eye screening and medical consultations, to spectacles for those who required them, the day was a wonderful manifestation of community care in action. The St. John Ambulance team also conducted First Aid awareness, while PEKA B40 services, health awareness activities and a vibrant children’s colouring contest added further meaning and joy to the occasion.
At this memorable juncture, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to our Chief Guest, Dato’ Rajeswaran, Chief Guest Dato Geetanjali and our Special Guest, Women Icon of Negeri Sembilan, Mrs. Parameswari, for gracing the occasion and encouraging our collective commitment to community service.
A special note of gratitude to MIC Bukit Gasing Branch, Dato’ Geethanjali, all members of Rotary Club of Bukit Jalil, our medical doctors, healthcare professionals, volunteers and every good-hearted individual who contributed their time, energy and expertise.
The distribution of Merdeka flags and the participation of children made the celebration even more meaningful - a beautiful reminder that patriotism is not merely expressed in words, but also through service, compassion and responsibility towards one another.
As we celebrate Merdeka, may we continue to build a Malaysia that is healthier, kinder, stronger and united in diversity.
🇲🇾 Service Above Self. Community Above All.
❤️ Together, we serve. Together, we grow. Together, we build a better Malaysia.
