♥️Friendships and partnerships across Asia! ❤️

What a wonderful time of friendship and collaboration with our WWO East Asia friends in Macau and Hong Kong!

Our WWO SEA Regional Ambassador, Audrie Siew, was in Hong Kong and Macau for discussions and to conduct training. It was such a joy to connect with Faby Ruesga, WWO East Asia Ambassador/YWAM, and Majory Vendrami — two inspiring ladies with such passion for God’s heart for vulnerable children! We are so thankful for the friendships, meaningful conversations and shared vision that bring us together.

A highlight was partnering with WWO East Asia to conduct training for Youth With A Mission Tuen Mun staff in Hong Kong. YWAM is already doing incredible work among vulnerable children and families in HK, and it was a privilege to help equip and strengthen those serving on the ground.

We thank God for these friendships and the opportunity to walk alongside one another across regions. This is what the WWO movement is about — building relationships, learning together and joining hands so that every child can grow to their God-given potential in loving families and communities! ❤️

A child kept praying for an adopted brother. Then something happened.

During the Orphan Sunday Global Webinar, Sara Vargas, WWO Regional Ambassador for Latin America, shared a precious story about a young child who began praying for an adopted brother and continued praying for years.

🌍 From 6,000 to 20,000 churches praying for vulnerable children! 🙏

What an inspiring testimony from Ukraine at today’s World Without Orphans Orphan Sunday Global Webinar! Hearing how participation in their Day of Prayer for Orphans grew from 6,000 to 20,000 churches was a powerful reminder of what can happen when churches unite for children!

We were encouraged to learn from 9 other countries, including inspiring sharing from Zimbabwe and Jordan.

🌱 WWO Southeast Asia also had the privilege of sharing our initiatives!

📖 Lubo introduced the Orphan Sunday devotional developed by our WWO SEA team, with contributions from Singapore, the Philippines, Myanmar and Cambodia.

🎬 Audrie Siew shared how the movie Sound of Hope has been a powerful way to inspire more people to understand God’s heart for vulnerable children and the transformation that is possible in Singapore and beyond! She also shared how it all started with a collaboration between World Without Orphans Singapore and Philippines and grew to more collaborations in Malaysia!

❤️ We are thankful for the opportunity to learn and be inspired by one another!

May more churches across Southeast Asia rise together to see every child growing to their God-given potential in loving families and communities!

What if 1,200 leaders carried one shared vision home to 96 nations?

At the YWAM Global Leadership Gathering 2026 in Chiang Mai, World Without Orphans invited leaders to dream together for children and families.

Through stories, workshops, and conversations, participants explored how churches, ministries and communities can work together to strengthen families, prevent unnecessary separation, and help vulnerable children thrive.

We are grateful for this growing partnership and for every leader taking the next faithful step in their own community and nation.

What can one Sunday change?

On 8 November 2026, Orphan Sunday will invite churches around the world to pray and take action for vulnerable children and families.

🌏 We are meant to do this together.

It was such a joy to welcome Lubo and Praveen from World Without Orphans Global to Singapore!

We were encouraged to hear about the wonderful work happening across the WWO movement and the doors that are opening in countries around us. It is exciting to see how God is bringing people together with a shared heart for children and families.

We also had the privilege of meeting with Rev Mark Poh, newly appointed Executive Director of the Assemblies of God of Singapore, and Rev Ezekiel Tan, Vice-Chairman and General Secretary of the Evangelical Alliance of Singapore.

We are thankful for the conversations, insights and shared heart — and we pray that these connections will open opportunities for us to collaborate for vulnerable children and families, in Singapore, Southeast Asia and beyond.

Most of all, we deeply appreciated the friendship, honest conversations and encouragement from Lubo and Praveen about the work growing here in Southeast Asia. Moments like these remind us that none of us is meant to do this work alone.

WWO is a movement — of churches, organisations, communities and individuals coming together because every child matters.

We hope to see many more rise up across Southeast Asia to help make our shared vision a reality: every child growing to their God-given potential in a safe and loving family, supported by thriving communities. ❤️

“If you don’t want to smell the ‘sh*t’, don’t raise the problem.” 😅

A provocative line from an inspiring message by Pastor Elisha from Dignity for Children Foundation — but one that carries a powerful truth.

We attended a sharing today in Singapore organised by our friends. We met Pastor Elisha and friends from Dignity in our visits to Malaysia and we were so touched by their heart for children!

Pastor Elisha shared how he and his wife, Petrina, felt the need to step into some of the poorest communities to serve children and families. That brought them face-to-face with difficult realities — even having to “negotiate” with gang leaders so they could continue reaching the children.

But it also brought stories of incredible transformation.

Stories like Raheel — once a refugee, whose journey eventually took him all the way to Oxford as a scholar. A reminder of what can become possible when someone sees the potential in a child, walks alongside them and refuses to give up.

As we listened, we were reminded again by Ps Elisha of what real love means.

At World Without Orphans, we believe every child should have the opportunity to grow into their potential in a safe and loving family and community.

Sometimes that means being willing to step towards the difficult places — not simply raising the problem, but becoming part of the response.

Because behind every statistic is a child. And every child is worth showing up for. ❤️

📣 Great milestone for Thailand!!📣

We know that friends in Thailand have been working towards this! The government has formally stated that orphanages should be last resort.

This helps to better set the stage for children to grow in families. Research does show that children grow better in caring families.

This doesn’t mean that orphanages are not needed. Very often when there are no other options in the community, orphanages are the ones who stand in the gap. But we dream of the day where:

🩵 Children’s needs can be met without being separated from their families!

🩵 Communities worldwide are rising to wrap around vulnerable families to enable them care for their children🎇

🩵Those who need foster parents are able to find suitable ones easily 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒

🩵 Even if children need to be separated from their families, there is support for the family to resolve their issues and for children to return when safe. 💞

It is so exciting to see Thailand one step closer to this dream which is held by so many in the WWO network! Thank you for your years of hard work! 💗
