Malaysia-Türkiye Trade Mission and B2B Meetings

TEEAM was pleased to support the Malaysia-Türkiye Electrical & Electronics Trade Mission and Business to Business (B2B) Meetings, organised by The Electrical & Electronics Exporters' Association of Türkiye (TET) on 19 May 2026 at Hotel Royal Signature, Kuala Lumpur.

The event brought together industry leaders, business representatives, and Government officials from both countries with the common objective of fostering stronger trade relations, exploring business opportunities, and encouraging strategic partnerships within the electrical and electronics sector.

The programme commenced with welcoming remarks by Mr. Murat Kolbasi, Vice Chairman of TET Board, followed by an address from Mr. Albert Tan, President of TEEAM. In his speech, Mr. Albert Tan highlighted the growing economic relationship between Malaysia and Türkiye and emphasised the importance of industry collaboration in driving innovation, investment, and regional growth. He also noted that Malaysia remains an attractive hub for business expansion into the ASEAN market, while Turkish companies bring valuable technological expertise and innovative solutions that can complement the needs of the Malaysian industry.

The event was further honoured by the presence of His Excellency Mr. Emir Salim Yuksel, Ambassador of Türkiye to Malaysia, who reaffirmed the strong and longstanding friendship between the two nations and encouraged greater business engagement between Malaysian and Turkish enterprises.

A total of 16 leading Turkish companies participated in the trade mission, representing a wide range of sectors including transformers; high, medium and low voltage solutions; energy management systems; protection and control systems; power quality and monitoring solutions; electrical enclosures and cabinets; and other advanced electrical technologies.

The B2B meetings provided Malaysian companies with a valuable platform to engage directly with Turkish manufacturers and technology providers, allowing participants to explore potential distributorships, strategic alliances, technology exchanges, joint ventures, and regional market expansion opportunities.

Amongst the distinguished guests present were Mr. Murat Kolbasi (TET Board Vice Chairman), Mr. Levent Fadiloglu (TET Board Member), Dr. S. Armagan Vurdu (IMMIB Secretary General), Dato’ Dr. Ts. Gerald Sundaraj (CIDB WPKL State Director), Mr. Albert Tan (TEEAM President) and Mr. Chris Yow (TEEAM Honorary Secretary).

The successful event reflected the strong commitment of both Malaysia and Türkiye to deepen economic cooperation and industrial partnerships. It also demonstrated the significant potential for collaboration between companies from both countries in supporting technological advancement, sustainable growth, and business development across the region.

TEEAM extends its appreciation to TET, the Embassy of Türkiye, participating companies, and all attendees for making the event a meaningful and productive platform for bilateral engagement. The Association looks forward to continued collaboration with its Turkish counterparts and to further strengthening the business ties and friendship between Malaysia and Türkiye for many years to come.
