We had an incredible time celebrating at the International School @ Parkcity today! 🌎✨

It was wonderful to connect with students, parents, and staff to share the benefits of plant-based eating and inspire compassion for farmed animals.

Moving away from industrial animal agriculture is a powerful climate solution. By shifting our food system, we can protect our planet by significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation, land and water usage, and pollution! 🌱

The day’s highlights:
• Henrietta’s Kids Corner — 50 participants across two high-energy sessions! 🐔
• Growing the Movement — A warm welcome to our new followers and the 8 new volunteers who joined Team MFA today 💙
• Volunteer Superstars — A big shoutout to Sun, Rina, and Nisha— your thoughtfulness and enthusiasm made everything we did more meaningful. ✨

A huge thank you to the leadership and community at the International School @ Parkcity for hosting us. It is so inspiring to work with a school that is thoughtful, progressive, and compassionate in their approach to global citizenship!

Pigs are intelligent, social animals. But in intensive farming systems, many are confined in cages and crowded conditions that restrict movement and natural behaviour.

Choosing more plant-based options can reduce our reliance on factory farming.

While Malaysians have a heart for animal welfare, our neighbors are turning that compassion into law. Indonesia recently passed Permentan 32/2025, a landmark regulation that creates a legal foundation for livestock management practices aligned with animal welfare principles, including cage-free egg production systems.

Why are these regulations important and urgent for Malaysia?

1️⃣ Public health: Cage-free systems can have significantly lower Salmonella risks.

2️⃣ Trade: Without legal standards, our farmers can’t compete in high-value global markets.

3️⃣ Transparency: You deserve to know exactly how your food is produced, verified by a government stamp—not just a marketing label.

We have visionary farmers and conscious consumers—now, we need the laws and policies to match our compassion.

Mercy For Animals Malaysia is at the forefront of the transition away from industrial animal agriculture, advocating for plant-based eating and a more compassionate world.
