MySkills Foundation Using business approaches to achieve social goals for public benefits
by transforming at-risk youth

There are moments in an organisation’s journey that quietly reminds us how far we have come.

For MySkills Foundation, being featured in recent Baker Hughes’ impact milestones video is one of the moments.

To see the faces, stories and the work of MySkills Foundation showcased in the narrative of a reputable global company like Baker Hughes was deeply humbling.

We have always believed that transformation does not happen in isolation. It takes trust, partnership, consistency, and a shared belief that young people, especially those who have been left behind, deserve a real chance to rebuild their lives. It is a reminder that the work of transforming at-risk youths matters, and that even a small organisation can be part of a much bigger story when the right partners choose to stand beside us.

Our heartfelt appreciation to Baker Hughes for seeing MySkills, believing in our youths, and continuing to be part of this journey with us.

HSBC Circle of Excellence (CoE) Engagement with MySkills Foundation

MySkills Foundation youths had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of HSBC’s Global Circle of Excellence which was held in Kuala Lumpur. This global event brought together senior leaders and staff members of HSBC around the world.

A total of 100 MySkills youths participated in a series of sporting activities and notably the Thrive Cafe’ pitching competition. The Thrive Cafe’ required MySkills youths to brainstorm ideas together with the HSBC staff to develop a cafe that would generate income whilst being sustainable in the long run.

A total of six teams were selected to present their ideas based on the aspects of innovation and sustainability and MySkills youths confidently presented their ideas. Platforms as such are a good exercise for MySkills’s youths to hone their critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills which would be instrumental in their career journey later. Thrive Cafe’ ideas have the potential to be realised as an entrepreneurial stint for our MySkills youths as well.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to HSBC for creating this meaningful experience for your youths as well as for their generous contribution in supporting MySkills Foundation’s mission to transform at-risk youths.

26th May 2026 marked a significant milestone in the ongoing partnership between JPMorganChase and MySkills Foundation as we formalise our collaboration to deliver the Digital Career Accelerator Programme.

This programme will empower 550 underserved youth (from 2025 to 2027) with industry-aligned digital, technical, and employability skills, preparing them for entry-level digital careers and sustainable livelihoods.

As artificial intelligence and digital transformation continue to reshape the future of work, our commitment is clear: vulnerable youth must not be left behind.

While we believe that talent exists everywhere, opportunity must be made accessible. Together with JPMorganChase, MySkills Foundation is building inclusive pathways for young people to gain confidence, stay relevant, and thrive in Malaysia’s evolving digital economy.

On 28 March 2026, MySkills Foundation was honoured to welcome 25 members from the Rotary Club of Damansara under the stewardship of Mr. Alexander Abraham to MySkills Campus for a meaningful day of recognition, fellowship and shared commitment to youth transformation.

During the visit, our Founder and Director, Mr. Pasupathi Sithamparam, was presented with the Rotary Club of Damansara Vocational Service Award for the Rotary Year 2025–2026, in recognition of his dedication and contribution to youth development.

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Rotary Club of Damansara and Mr. Tankaraju for their generous contribution of RM100,000 towards MySkills’ mission of empowering at-risk and underserved youth through education, skills training and holistic development.

The visit value added with a tree planting activity alongside our students, symbolising growth, sustainability and our shared responsibility in nurturing a better future. The day concluded with a warm fellowship lunch, generously sponsored by one of the Rotarians, reflecting the spirit of partnership, generosity and community.

We are deeply grateful for the continued support of partners who believe in creating meaningful pathways of hope, dignity and opportunity for our youth.
