With great pleasure, MSAI would like to invite participants to attend our 25th MSAI Congress and Exhibition on Allergy & Immunology which would be held on:

Date: 24th to 26th April 2026 at the
Venue: Intercontinental Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

This year our conference is held in conjunction and collaboration with the World Allergy Organisation (WAO), the World Allergy Training School (WATS) will be held on 26th April 2026. The WATS training school will be delivered by the international faculty of WAO.

Theme for 2026 is Global Insights, Local Impact: Shaping the Future of Allergy and Immunology

The 3 day programme will feature lectures on Immunology, workshops on skin testing, skin allergies, food allergies, anaphylaxis, etc including new treatments for allergic diseases and new indications for available therapies.This programme would not only provide a good platform as a learning experience, but will also be an opportunity to exchange ideas and expertise, whilst creating a mutual networking atmosphere for the betterment of our patients.

This year’s Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was awarded for a pivotal advancement in immunology, highlighting the impact of regulatory T cell research."

BREAKING NEWS
The Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institutet has decided to award the 2025 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine to Mary E. Brunkow, Fred Ramsdell and Shimon Sakaguchi “for their discoveries concerning peripheral immune tolerance.”

This year’s medicine laureates have discovered how the immune system is kept in check. The body’s powerful immune system must be regulated, or it may attack our own organs. Brunkow, Ramsdell and Sakaguchi have been awarded this year’s medicine prize for their groundbreaking discoveries concerning peripheral immune tolerance that prevents the immune system from harming the body.

The laureates identified the immune system’s security guards, regulatory T cells, which prevent immune cells from attacking our own body.

The laureates’ discoveries launched the field of peripheral tolerance, spurring the development of medical treatments for cancer and autoimmune diseases. This may also lead to more successful transplantations. Several of these treatments are now undergoing clinical trials.
