Remembering of the warriors who used to hike with us

Muruga Raja Ramalingam
(1970 - 2022)

One of the nicest hiker you can hike with. He is such a gentle person and one who takes care of others before self. A very fit and strong hiker but yet one who stays humble despite his stature. He has done Kinabalu, Sabah (2013), Mt Rinjani, Indonesia (2015), Mt Nanhu, Taiwan (2016), Mt Siguniang (2018) and numerous times for the local climb ! A very active and avid sportsman in his youthful day till the end.

Remembering some of our Warriors who used to hike with us

Alex Tan Tiang Ho
(1963-2021)

Alex used to the known as the “slowest hiker” because he would be the one to ensure that everyone is safe and that he would be the one that sweeps the trail. Be would have blazed the trail had it not been his attitude of ensuring that “No one left behind” is practiced at all of the hikes that he joined. He did Mt Kinabalu 4 time in a row from 2014 - 2017 and was very supportive through his participation of all our activities and climb ! He did the unthinkable in 2016, when at the height of 5000m at the mountain of Siguniang, China, he decided to quit his climb just so that he would accompany another fellow hiker and to bring her to safety !

For that he is also known as the “most unselfish hiker in the world” ! He returned in 2017 to complete the climb up Mount Siguniang and celebrated his feat with the fellow hiker whom he escorted a year earlier ! For that we salute, Alex Tan Tiang Ho.
