Had the pleasure of conducting a courtesy visit with Pak Hosea Andreas, Chairman of ASPERAPI.

MACEOS discussed with MyCEB for more opportunities to work together and explore possible programmes for the year ahead.

We have always believed that a strong business events industry takes everyone working together. As the industry association, we will continue to find ways to work closely with the national bureau, connect the industry and turn common priorities into meaningful action.

On 17 September 2026, the MACEOS Executive Committee met with our esteemed Board of Advisors: Tan Sri Rebecca, Dato’ Sri Irmohizam, and Jane Vong Holmes.

MACEOS x MATTA: Strengthening Ties Across the Industry

We sat down with the Malaysian Association Of Tour And Travel Agents (MATTA) this morning to talk about how our two associations could work more closely together, and what that might mean for both associations' members and the wider BE industry.

A few things came out of the meet-up:

There's real potential here: helping Destination Management Companies build toward Professional Conference Organiser (PCO) capabilities. That opens up new skills, new business opportunities, and a stronger Business Events ecosystem for Malaysia as a whole.

Strengthening Ties Across the South China Sea 🇲🇾🤝🇨🇳

On 26 August 2026, the MACEOS Sabah Chapter delegation, led by YBhg Datuk Dr. Hajah Rosmawati Haji Lasuki, J.P., visited the Bureau of Data, Fengxian District, Shanghai for a fruitful exchange on business events cooperation and cross-border investment.
Fengxian has expressed strong interest in bringing 20+ exhibitors to the upcoming BigSabah Sale at SICC — and beyond Sabah, in exploring partnerships across the rest of Malaysia through MACEOS’s national network and our flagship conferences in Kuala Lumpur.

A step closer to positioning Sabah as the gateway for Southeast Asia’s next wave of trade and investment.

A meaningful afternoon of knowledge sharing and industry engagement at WTCKL today. 🤝

MACEOS, in collaboration with PERKESO, brought together industry players to better understand the Skim Lindung Kendiri (Act 789) and the importance of social security protection for freelancers, self-employed individuals and independent contractors in the business events industry.

MACEOS was pleased to sit down with the Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA) this week for a genuinely productive conversation on how our two associations can work more closely together, and create real value for our members along the way.

A few areas of collaboration came out of the discussion:

🎓 Education & Talent Development
Both associations see real potential here, from scholarship opportunities to joint programmes with universities, particularly around food and safety. We're also looking at collaborative education initiatives that create value on both sides and get reinvested straight back into the industry.

📋 Supporting Exhibitors, Strengthening Industry Knowledge
MACEOS can offer MRCA exhibitors a series of briefings on branding, communications, business events, and industry best practices, potentially built directly into Franchise Expo Malaysia.

At its core, MACEOS and MRCA share the same drive: to serve our industries, empower our members, and open up meaningful opportunities for Malaysian businesses.

We are looking forward to turning this conversation into real partnerships and practical initiatives, building a stronger, more connected business ecosystem.
