Theme: Talent, Innovation, and Leadership for the Water Sector

MWA would like to thank all participants, including the speakers, panellists, moderators, sponsors, committee members, and everyone who supported and contributed to the success of the inaugural Women & Water Forum held on 23 June 2026 at Wyndham Grand Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.

Our gratitude to the Secretary-General of PETRA for officiating the event and our esteemed guest speakers, YBhg. Dato' Sri Mustapa Mohamed, Former Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Economy), and YB Hannah Yeoh, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories), for sharing their valuable insights and inspiring perspectives.

We hope this inaugural forum will serve as a strong foundation for future initiatives, helping to advance the forum’s objectives of empowering women, promoting greater participation and leadership in the water industry, and fostering meaningful collaboration among stakeholders. We believe this is an important step towards recognising and highlighting the valuable contributions of women in shaping a more sustainable and resilient water sector. The forum was attended by 178 participants, reflecting strong interest and support for this important initiative.

The visit provided valuable insights into Rotork's electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic valve actuation solutions, and their important role in enhancing the efficiency and reliability of Malaysia's water infrastructure.

12 May 2026 - the MWA Technical & Facility Visit to ABB Malaysia (MWA’s Institutional Member), was successfully attended by 16 members and represented by MWA Vice President, Mdm Amy Yew. MWA would like to thank Mr. R. Narayan, Vice President of IEC LV Motors, representing ABB Malaysia, and his team for the warm hospitality, informative presentations on the company’s products and technologies, as well as the engaging session during the exhibition area visit and networking lunch.

The visit provided a valuable opportunity for technical sharing and networking, and MWA looks forward to organising similar visits in the future.
