MWA 38th Annual General Meeting (AGM)
25 April 2026 | Kota Permai Golf & Country Club, Shah Alam

MWA successfully convened its 38th AGM on 25 April 2026 at Kota Permai Golf & Country Club, Shah Alam, with a total of 60 members in attendance.

The Association reported positive growth in the organisation of its programmes and activities, as well as in its financial position. This progress is attributed to the strong commitment of the Council and Committee Members, the continued support of MWA members and industry stakeholders, and the dedication of the Secretariat staff in managing the Association’s day-to-day operations.

Key matters discussed during the meeting included training initiatives under MWA’s role as an Industry Lead Body (ILB). Challenges were noted in organising training programmes, particularly in meeting Training of Trainers (TTT) requirements, course duration constraints, and increasing market competition.

The Association will further review and address these issues moving forward. During the meeting, the President also shared updates on the progress of the IWA World Water Congress & Exhibition 2028, which Malaysia will host in Kuching. Several activities have been scheduled for May to September 2026, and detailed information will be disseminated to members and the water industry through MWA’s communication channels.

The meeting was adjourned at 12:00 noon, followed by lunch. MWA extends its appreciation to all members for their participation and for their valuable views and suggestions towards the continued growth of the Association.
