📝 IMAN MEMBER REFLECTION

We are honoured to share a powerful reflection written by our Advisor, Prof. Dr. Kamar Oniah Kamaruzaman:

INJUSTICE AND RETALIATIONS

Justice is part of human nature. People, across the board, crave and expected justice, will never accept, let alone endorse injustice, any injustice. Humans, by nature, retaliate against injustice; any form of injustice. Thus, injustice begets retaliations. Retaliations often create further injustice – and a vicious cycle of injustices and retaliations develops. Eventually, sporadic violence and instability overtakes the land. How can this vicious cycle of injustices and retaliations be stopped? Religions, all religions, say – Justice must be re-established, followed by forgiveness. Forgiveness is a religious mechanism for closure.

The horrors of Palestine are a cycle of such injustices and retaliations. When the State of Israel was created upon Palestinian land in 1948, a great injustice was done to the Palestinians. Thus, the horrors of Palestine and Israel today - vicious cycles of injustices and retaliations. Soon the genocide perpetrators will be hounded by families and friends of the martyrs - across the globe; the signs are already here. Therefore, for the sake of the Palestinians, and the Israelites and Zionists too, the war in Palestine must end. For the Gazans and Palestinians, they deserve peace, stability and dignity. For the Israelite and Zionists, their horrors are on the way.
