Alliance Française de Kuala Lumpur The Official French Language and Cultural Centre in Kuala Lumpur Since 1961 Alliance Française has a foothold in Malaysia since 1961.

In Kuala Lumpur, AFKL operates from 2 centres: Lorong Gurney (main centre), and Bangsar. The Alliance Française is not only a unique language centre whose reputation is firmly established but also an exceptional social and cultural environment, with multiple events throughout the year. Strategically located, the Lorong Gurney Centre is housed in a fully renovated bungalow in a pleasant and green s

etting. Some of the facilities offered are: cafeteria, Multimedia library open to all, broadcast of French TV (TV5). It aims at gathering the French and Malaysian, and fostering exchanges between the two communities. It offers free parking facilities and is situated near the National Library, Istana Budaya (National theatre) and KLCC.

Je m’appelle Sarah, je suis bourguignonne, et vous m’entendrez peut-être parfois vanter la gastronomie et les paysages de ma région ! Professeure de français depuis peu, travailler à l’AFKL est ma première véritable expérience d’enseignement après y avoir effectué un stage qui m’a donné envie de poursuivre l’aventure en tant qu’enseignante. 🍎📚

J’aime enseigner de la manière dont j’aurais aimé apprendre : avec une approche dynamique, participative et ludique, toujours dans la bonne humeur ! J’aime également partager avec mes apprenants des aspects de la culture française, qu’il s’agisse de géographie, de gastronomie ou de traditions, afin de leur offrir une immersion aussi complète que possible. 🥐 🇫🇷

J’aime enseigner parce que cela me permet d’apprendre moi aussi. Chaque cours est l’occasion de redécouvrir ma langue et de trouver de nouvelles façons de la transmettre. Voir mes apprenants progresser, gagner en confiance et réussir est l’une des plus belles récompenses de ce métier. ✨

My name is Sarah, I’m from Burgundy, and you might sometimes hear me talking about my region’s cuisine and scenery ! Having recently become a French teacher, working at the AFKL is my first real teaching experience, following an internship there that made me want to continue the adventure as a teacher. 🍎📚

I like to teach in the way I would have liked to learn : with a dynamic, interactive and fun approach, always in good spirits ! I also enjoy sharing aspects of French culture with my learners, whether it’s geography, cuisine or traditions, to offer them as complete an immersion as possible. 🥐 🇫🇷

I love teaching because it also allows me to keep learning. Every lesson is an opportunity to rediscover my own language and find new ways to pass it on. Seeing my learners make progress, gain confidence and succeed is one of the greatest rewards of this profession. ✨

Step into the spotlight and discover the magic of storytelling, drama, improvisation, movement, and creative expression. Children will create characters, bring stories to life, and build confidence through playful stage activities.

🐇 Alice’s Curious World (4–6 years)
Fall down the rabbit hole into a world of imagination, stories, games, crafts, and magical discoveries inspired by Alice in Wonderland. A fun-filled journey where little explorers can express themselves and practice French through play.
