Program Agihan Bubur Lambuk
Riced Porridge Distribution Programme (Ramadan 2026)
26 February 2026 | 8 Ramadhan 1447
PERKIM Building, Kuala Lumpur

During the blessed month of Ramadan, a Bubur Lambuk Distribution Programme was successfully organised in collaboration with PERKIM. In Malaysia, the preparation and distribution of bubur lambuk has long been a meaningful Ramadan tradition and an important part of the local culture. It symbolises generosity, community spirit, and care for the wider public, as the porridge is cooked in large quantities and distributed freely to the community.

In addition to bubur lambuk, this year we also prepared a dessert porridge known as Bubur Candil. This traditional sweet treat is known by different names across Malaysia, including Bubur Biji Nangka & Bubur Tepung Pulut.

Dato’ Dr. Marzuki Omar, Secretary General of both organisations, was also present, showing his support and encouragement for the initiative.

The programme involved collective efforts from volunteers and committee members, from the preparation of ingredients to the cooking and final distribution to the public. Alhamdulillah, strong ukhuwwah (brotherhood and solidarity) was fostered throughout the process. The teamwork, shared responsibility, and spirit of Ramadan further strengthened the bond among all participants.

Overall, the programme not only benefited the community but also reinforced unity and cooperation among those involved.
