Last month we delivered 10 food bags for low income recipients with special needs children at SK Yaakob Latif.

These families will receive nutritional food aid consists of essential dry food items worth RM250 per bag every month, provided their children maintain at least 80% attendance in school as we believe that education is the best way to end the poverty cycle.

We thank Foundation Rolf Schnyder for kindly sponsoring these food bags.

Earlier this week, Nourish has been invited to be part of the launch ceremony of Impak Rintas, a registered social exchange with Securities Commission Malaysia. We are humbled to be the first cohort of only 8 eligible non-profit organisations with projects listed on the platform.

The ceremony was officiated by YB Tuan Liew Chin Tong, Deputy Minister of Finance Malaysia and in the presence of Dato' Mohammad Faiz Azmi, Executive Chairman of the Securities Commission. The attendees were various corporate and NGO representatives and also members of the media.

Our General Manager, Ilya Yamani was also given the opportunity to pitch our project to the distinguished audience. We truly appreciate this opportunity and look forward to help more families with their support.

We are recruiting! For the past few weeks, we have been busy conducting multiple townhall sessions to recruit new participants for our nutrition invention program for low income families.

During the townhall sessions, we explained the purpose of the program and its terms and conditions, one of it being that their children will maintain at least 80% attendance at school. They were also able to ask us any questions regarding the program before deciding to participate.

In between the sessions we also took the height and weight of their children to determine their weight statuses and detect any signs of malnourishment.

Earlier this month, we delivered 44 food bags to low income families from SK Lembah Subang consists of essential dry food items worth RM250 per bag.

This month's discussion was all about their children's growth. Each of the student's height and weight was recorded and the personalized results were shared with their respective parents.

After the general session, we did a focused group counselling to parents of students who are still showing signs of malnourishment after following our program. We discussed the challenges and were getting feedbacks on how to continue to help the students.

We were back at work earlier this week, delivering 45 food bags to low income families from SK Batu Muda consists of essential dry food items worth RM250 per bag.
