About Us
The Sultan Ahmad Shah Environmental Trust (SASET) was formed with a dedicated aim to protect and conserve the vast ecological treasures of Pahang Darul Makmur and provide funds to uplift the socioeconomic status of the rural citizens in the state.
Under the stewardship of Yang Amat Mulia Tengku Arif Temengong Pahang Tengku Fahd Mua’adzam Ibni Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah DK II, and the support of The Pahang Royal Family, Temenggong Initiative (TI) currently implements a sustainable rural development programme that concentrates on the preservation and conservation of Pahang’s natural heritage. TI also strives to educate and train local volunteers to become nature’s advocates known as Temenggong Rangers.
The Trust and Temenggong Initiative believes that the path to success of this endeavour is highly dependent on the close cooperation of stakeholders. Achieving long-term goals requires commitment and dedication. To this end, SASET and TI have garnered support from various local universities and ministries.
