Turning "I Have To" into "I Get To!" โ€“ A Sanguine Night at Speecom ๐ŸŒŸ
We kicked off our meeting with a powerful shift in perspective. We don't just have to work on ourselves; we get to grow together. That sanguine energy, optimistic and confident, was felt in every corner of the room tonight!
Hereโ€™s the recap of our "Choosing Positivity" meeting:-
โœจ Masterclass in Presence: We were privileged to have Patricia Yap share a masterclass on "The Power of Impromptu Speaking." She showed us how to turn the "unexpected" into an opportunity for impact using PRES formula.
๐Ÿ† Table Topics Triumph: The room was buzzing during our impromptu session! Huge congratulations to Catherine for winning the Best Table Topic Speaker award.
๐Ÿ“ˆ Pathways Milestones: A big shoutout to Ori and Sean for their prepared speeches. Both are inches away from completing their current Levelsโ€”your dedication to the craft is inspiring!
๐Ÿ’ก Insightful Evaluations: We leveled up tonight thanks to the sharp and constructive feedback from our evaluators (Elva, Ambrose, Gaik Hoon). Growth happens at the edge of our comfort zone!

MEETING #1050 โ€” Rise Above
We expect the unexpected at Speecom, but Meeting #1050 took "surprises" to a whole new level.
Please join us in welcoming our newest member, Shamo Daya, to the Speecom Toastmasters family! In a single evening, Shamo didn't just participateโ€”she dominated by:
- Winning Best Table Topics Speaker ๐Ÿ†
- Delivering her elective project ๐ŸŽค
She truly embodied the spirit of our theme: Rising Above.
But the growth didn't stop there. We watched members stretch their limitsโ€”from David Li tackling his first Welcoming Address with poise and precision, to Desmond Thong taking as Toastmaster of the Evening for times challenge us think deeper. It is these "multiple attempts" that turn curiosity into competence.
A huge thank you to our senior visiting-Toastmasters for supporting Speecom. Your presence provided a masterclass in mentorship, and we hope you left with takeaways as meaningful as the ones you shared with us.
