Chevening Alumni Malaysia aims to nurture leaders from the Chevening to contribute to nation-building in Malaysia.

We are an NGO of alumni from the Chevening Scholarship, awarded by the UK Government.

Chevening Alumni Malaysia (CAM) Committee (2026–2028) recently held its first official meeting with His Excellency Ajay Sharma and the team at the UK in Malaysia - British High Commission Kuala Lumpur.

It was a fruitful and insightful discussion focused on strengthening our alumni network across Malaysia, exploring future programme collaborations, and aligning our initiatives with key UK priority areas.

We extend our gratitude to HE Ajay Sharma and the High Commission team for their continued trust and support. Together, we look forward to building a stronger, more connected alumni network nationwide.

🗓️ 𝟭𝟳 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: 𝗖𝗔𝗠 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘆 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗬𝗕 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗴𝗼 𝗗𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗣𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗷𝗮𝘆𝗮

We were deeply honoured to meet with YB Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang, Minister of National Unity (Kementerian Perpaduan Negara), to share Chevening Alumni Malaysia’s vision and explore meaningful opportunities to advance our nation together.

Following a productive session, we are glad to share that the Ministry will be co-hosting an upcoming event with CAM. Our thanks to YB Minister and the team for their support.

🏓 A huge thank you to everyone who joined Pickle & Mingle with CAM yesterday!

It was wonderful to see 19 Chevening Alumni Malaysia members come together for a morning of pickleball, laughter, and meaningful conversations. We hope you enjoyed reconnecting with familiar faces, meeting fellow Cheveners, and making new connections both on and off the court.

🔹 Guiding the next generation of leaders through the Chevening Application lifecycle, including regional info sessions and virtual essay coaching.
🔹 Facilitating quarterly thematic virtual fireside chats to champion knowledge-sharing and highlight diverse alumni successes.
🔹 Supporting key public and alumni engagement milestones to strengthen our overall community connection.

In this term, Dr. Maryam will be blending her systematic planning skills with a strong dedication to community impact and stakeholder relations, focusing on:

🔹 Co-leading our internal operation transformation and supporting our brand revamp planning.
🔹 Driving our social outreach and community initiatives, while coordinating regional recreation activities to enhance member engagement.
🔹 Assisting with key stakeholder milestones, including pre-visit meetings for our courtesy visits and supporting the Chevening application coaching lifecycle.

In this term, Dr. Ikhwan will be channeling his strategic leadership expertise into stabilising our internal resources and broadening our organisational support, focusing on:

🔹 Strategising and approaching potential corporate and government stakeholders to build sustainable, long-term ecosystem partnerships.
🔹 Collaborating on the core Branding, Membership Drive, and Merchandise (B-M-M) project tracking.
🔹 Reviewing merchandise strategies alongside the treasury team to add distinctive value for our members.

🔹 Driving critical public engagement initiatives, including strategic courtesy visits to UK+ stakeholders.
🔹 Organising regional and quarterly recreation activities—such as sports and volunteering—to build a highly cohesive alumni network.
🔹 Supporting future scholars across the Chevening Application lifecycle, from virtual essay coaching to coordinating social sessions.
