Tetapi menyedut udara kotor bukan sahaja menjejaskan paru-paru… ia juga boleh membahayakan minda.

BZU BZU CIPTA REKOD MALAYSIA BOOK OF RECORDS, MRA TERIMA 10,000 PEK LAMPIN BAYI

KUALA LUMPUR, 15 Oktober 2026 – Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA) menerima sumbangan 10,000 pek lampin bayi BZU BZU VelvetBreeze menerusi kempen CSR “A Million Acts of Care BZU BZU” yang berlangsung di MyTOWN Shopping Centre, Kuala Lumpur.

Kempen ini turut mencipta sejarah apabila BZU BZU menerima pengiktirafan Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) bagi Sumbangan Lampin Bayi Terbanyak dalam Kempen Amal, melibatkan 1,578,448 keping lampin bayi (30,000 pek) yang disalurkan melalui tiga NGO, iaitu MRA, Yayasan Food Bank Malaysia (YFBM) dan PERTIWI.

Majlis turut dihadiri oleh Tengku Datin Paduka Setia Zatashah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, Pengerusi YFBM, dan Encik Raphael Jiang, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif dan Pengasas Bersama Elite Beauty Asia. MRA diwakili oleh Dr. Shahrizal Azwan bin Samsudin, Setiausaha Agung merangkap Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif MRA.

Sumbangan yang diterima MRA akan diagihkan melalui rangkaian MRA di seluruh Malaysia bagi membantu keluarga B40, komuniti pelarian, keluarga terjejas banjir dan golongan rentan. Inisiatif ini bukan sahaja meringankan beban perbelanjaan keluarga, malah membantu memastikan keperluan kebersihan dan kesejahteraan bayi terus terpelihara.

Lebih daripada sekadar mencipta rekod, kejayaan sebenar inisiatif ini adalah apabila bantuan sampai kepada mereka yang memerlukan.

Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA) telah menyertai Information Management (IM) Training yang berlangsung pada 11 hingga 14 Oktober 2026 di Malaysian Red Crescent Society Perak Chapter, Ipoh.

MRA diwakili oleh Cik Hani Nurlyana Binti Zamri, Pengurus Data bersama Cik Majdah Binti Abdul Razak, Pekerja Sosial Kesihatan dalam latihan yang dianjurkan oleh Bulan Sabit Merah Malaysia (BSMM) dengan sokongan Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI), International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) serta Agensi Pengurusan Bencana Negara (NADMA).

Sepanjang latihan ini, para peserta didedahkan kepada penggunaan KoboToolbox bagi membangunkan borang pengump**an data untuk Initial Assessment dan Rapid Assessment semasa bencana. Latihan ini turut merangkumi kaedah merangka soalan penilaian yang bersesuaian, mengenal pasti maklumat penting yang perlu dikumpulkan serta menyusun soalan secara sistematik bagi mendapatkan data yang relevan dan boleh digunakan.

Selain itu, peserta mempelajari teknik pembersihan dan penyediaan data menggunakan Microsoft Excel, termasuk menghubungkan borang KoboToolbox dengan Excel bagi membolehkan data yang dikumpulkan dikemas kini secara automatik. Pendedahan kepada Microsoft Power BI p**a merangkumi proses transformasi data, visualisasi maklumat, pembangunan dan penerbitan papan pemuka (dashboard) ke laman web serta penggunaannya dalam menyokong proses membuat keputusan berdasarkan data.

Pengurusan maklumat yang berkesan bukan sekadar mengumpulkan data, tetapi turut melibatkan proses memastikan ketepatan, kebolehgunaan dan penyampaian maklumat yang tepat pada masanya. Dalam konteks pengurusan bencana, maklumat yang berkualiti amat penting bagi membantu mengenal pasti keperluan komuniti terjejas, menetapkan keutamaan bantuan dan merancang intervensi kemanusiaan yang lebih bersasar.

Ilmu dan kemahiran yang diperoleh melalui latihan ini diharapkan dapat dimanfaatkan untuk memperkukuh sistem pengurusan maklumat MRA, meningkatkan kecekapan penilaian keperluan serta menyokong respons kemanusiaan yang lebih terancang, berasaskan bukti dan berkesan.

Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA) telah melancarkan Tabung Misi Bantuan Banjir bagi membantu mangsa yang terkesan di seluruh negara akibat Musim Monsun Timur Laut 2026/2027 yang dijangka bermula pada penghujung Oktober atau November 2026 dan berterusan sehingga Mac 2027.

Usaha awal ini akan digerakkan oleh pasukan petugas MRA yang berada di lapangan di wilayah Utara, Pantai Timur dan Selatan Semenanjung bagi memastikan semua bentuk bantuan kecemasan dapat disalurkan dengan segera.

Antara bantuan yang akan disalurkan termasuk:

🟣 Kit Kebersihan
🟣 Set Tilam
🟣 Keperluan Asas

10 Oktober 2026 - Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA) Pusat bersama MRA Negeri Pulau Pinang telah menyertai Pameran Agensi dan Perkhidmatan sempena Fiesta AFFIN Islamic International Wakaf Fund Run 2026 anjuran Wakaf Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Pulau Pinang (Wakaf MAINPP) di Masjid Ar-Rayyan Bandar Cassia, Batu Kawan, Pulau Pinang.

MRA berpeluang membuka reruai pameran sepanjang dua hari program berlangsung bagi memperkenalkan peranan, perkhidmatan dan inisiatif kemanusiaan yang dilaksanakan kepada para pengunjung.

Antara pengisian utama yang mencuri perhatian pada hari pertama ialah sesi pocket talk bertajuk “Adakah Kita Sudah Bersedia Menghadapi Bencana?” yang telah disampaikan oleh Dr. Shahrizal Azwan bin Samsudin, Ketua Pegawai Eksekutif MRA. Sesi ini menekankan kepentingan kesiapsiagaan bencana, tindakan awal dan kesedaran masyarakat dalam menghadapi situasi kecemasan, sekali gus memperkukuh keupayaan komuniti untuk bertindak dengan lebih pantas dan berkesan demi melindungi nyawa serta keselamatan bersama.

Bengkel Bijak Digital: Memperkukuh Kesedaran Keselamatan Siber 🔐

Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA) dengan kerjasama GivingHub telah berjaya menganjurkan Bengkel Bijak Digital pada 8 Oktober 2026 bagi meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesedaran tentang keselamatan digital serta keselamatan siber dalam kalangan warga kerja MRA. Seramai 50 orang peserta telah menghadiri bengkel ini secara bersemuka dan dalam talian.

Bengkel ini telah memberi pendedahan mengenai cara mengenal pasti penipuan ‘phishing’ dan scam dalam talian, melindungi akaun peribadi serta organisasi, dan mengamalkan penggunaan alat digital secara lebih selamat dalam kehidupan seharian dan di tempat kerja.

Program ini turut mendapat sokongan daripada The Asia Foundation dan Google.org sebagai usaha memperkukuh literasi digital serta membudayakan amalan keselamatan siber yang lebih baik.

Semoga ilmu yang dikongsikan dapat dimanfaatkan dalam meningkatkan keselamatan digital, sekali gus membina persekitaran kerja yang lebih selamat dan berdaya tahan.

KATHMANDU: Nepal sekali lagi dilanda bencana apabila gelombang banjir kilat melanda kawasan pergunungan di utara tengah negara itu pada Ahad, lapor BBC.

Insiden terbaharu yang melanda sepanjang Sungai Budhi Gandaki itu berlaku ketika negara berkenaan masih berusaha pulih daripada bencana banjir besar yang melanda kawasan sempadan Nepal-China pada Ogos lalu.

Pihak Berkuasa Pengurusan dan Pengurangan Risiko Bencana Kebangsaan (NDRRMA) memaklumkan penduduk yang tinggal di sepanjang tebing sungai berkenaan telah dipindahkan ke kawasan lebih tinggi sebagai langkah berjaga-jaga.

Setakat petang Ahad, pihak berkuasa mengesahkan tiada kematian dilaporkan, namun antara lima hingga 10 individu masih hilang manakala operasi mencari dan menyelamat menggunakan helikopter tentera sedang dijalankan.

Siasatan awal mendapati banjir kilat itu berpunca daripada tanah runtuh di kawasan Chumnubri yang menghalang aliran Sungai Budhi Gandaki sebelum takungan air yang terbentuk pecah secara tiba-tiba dan melepaskan aliran deras ke kawasan hilir.

Beberapa rakaman video yang tular di media sosial menunjukkan rumah, bangsal serta jambatan gantung dihanyutkan arus deras ketika paras air meningkat secara mendadak.

Pihak berkuasa berkata jumlah sebenar kampung pedalaman yang terputus hubungan masih dinilai berikutan kesukaran akses ke kawasan terjejas.

Amaran awal yang dikeluarkan sebelum kejadian membolehkan operasi pemindahan segera dilaksanakan di Arughat, sebuah bandar tepi sungai yang menjadi laluan penting antara Kathmandu dan wilayah barat laut Nepal.

Nepal ketika ini masih berada dalam fasa pemulihan susulan bencana banjir besar pada Ogos lepas di sepanjang sempadan Nepal-China yang mengorbankan lebih 1,400 nyawa manakala ribuan lagi dilaporkan hilang.

Tragedi itu juga turut menyebabkan kerosakan besar terhadap infrastruktur dan penempatan penduduk, termasuk jambatan dan laluan perhubungan yang rosak akibat siri bencana alam yang melanda negara itu sejak beberapa bulan kebelakangan ini. - AWANI

Memperkukuh Keupayaan Penilaian Keperluan Kecemasan MRA

Malaysian Relief Agency (MRA) telah menyertai Emergency Needs Assessment and Planning (ENAP) Training yang berlangsung selama empat hari, 5–8 Oktober 2026, termasuk pelaksanaan Simulation Exercise (SIMEX).

MRA diwakili oleh Cik Siti Zaharah Chik, Pengurus Operasi MRA Pusat; En. Syaiful Hizzam, Eksekutif Operasi Bahagian Pengurusan Bencana; serta En. Che Mee Fudzi, Exco Bencana MRA Perak.

Anjuran Bulan Sabit Merah Malaysia (BSMM) dengan sokongan Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI), International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) dan Agensi Pengurusan Bencana Negara (NADMA), latihan ini memberi pendedahan kepada proses penilaian keperluan kecemasan, pengurusan maklumat, analisis serta perancangan respon bencana.

Lebih daripada sekadar latihan teknikal, ENAP membuka perspektif tentang pentingnya memahami keperluan sebenar komuniti terjejas dan merancang respon berdasarkan maklumat serta bukti, bukan semata-mata andaian.

Ilmu dan pendekatan yang diperoleh akan terus diteliti dan disesuaikan dengan realiti operasi MRA secara keseluruhan dan komuniti ke arah memperkukuh kesiapsiagaan serta keberkesanan respon kemanusiaan.
