The Awareness 360 team in Bandarban, Bangladesh ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฉ , implemented a community-led project in the remote, indigenous communities of Chittagong Hill Tracts that addressed both clothing scarcity and the preservation of indigenous cultural heritage. They distributed clothing to underprivileged community members through local partnerships and volunteer support. The project also engaged elders and community members in documenting and promoting indigenous traditions. Weekly school-based sessions encouraged students to learn about and share traditional attire, crafts, music, folklore, and cultural practices, fostering cultural pride and strengthening intergenerational connections.

Led by our fellow Uaong Sing Marma, the project contributed to SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by supporting vulnerable communities with essential resources, promoting well-being, and helping preserve the cultural identity of marginalized indigenous populations.ย

Colourful Oasis: Building Emotional Resilience Through Art

The Awareness 360 team in Yangon, Myanmar ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฒ , led by our fellow Shoon Lae Maung, organized a creative art workshop across underprivileged communities. The project was designed to support orphans and street children by providing a safe and engaging space to express their emotions and build emotional resilience through art. Through activities such as Emoji Stones, which encouraged children to express and release their emotions; Stone-to-Plant Art, which illustrated how challenges can lead to growth, Strength Ladder Drawing, which demonstrated that obstacles can become stepping stones toward goals, and the Rainbow of Hope reflection, celebrated unity, diversity, and hope. Nearly 140 children took part in the workshop, discovering that strength, growth, and positivity can emerge even in difficult circumstances.ย

The project contributed to SDG goals 3 (Good Health and Well-being), 4 (Quality Education), and 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by creating an inclusive environment where children had access to supportive resources and opportunities for growth. Through art-based engagement, the initiative helped foster confidence, hope, and a stronger sense of belonging within the community.ย

Today, on Menstrual Health Day, we recognize the importance of breaking the stigma surrounding menstruation and mental health, and ensuring that every woman and girl has access to the knowledge, care, and support they deserve.

Through the โ€œEmpower Herโ€ initiative in Dhaka, Bangladesh ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฉ, our fellow Chowdhury Sadia Jahan Fariha created a safe and inclusive space where women and girls could openly discuss menstrual health, emotional well-being, and healthy coping practices without fear of judgment. Through interactive workshops and counseling sessions, the project reached around 106 participants, transforming hesitation and silence into confidence, curiosity, and active participation. The project reflects how community-centered education and open dialogue can challenge long-standing taboos and contribute to dignity, health, and gender equality.

By equipping women and girls with knowledge and practical tools, the initiative contributed to healthier communities and advanced progress toward SDG goals 3 (Good Health and Well-being), 4 (Quality Education), 5 (Gender Equality), 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).ย

The Awareness 360 team in Morelia, Mexico ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ‡ฝ , advanced inclusive and equitable education through the Ad Pacem Project, an initiative that supports children in vulnerable and underserved communities by providing innovative, human-centered learning experiences through two inclusive programs.

Through Adaptive Math, autistic children engaged with accessible and sensory-friendly math tools that encouraged logic, structured learning, autonomy, and confidence through level-based activities tailored to diverse learning needs. Alongside this, Little Big Readers nurtured literacy, imagination, and emotional connection to storytelling through shared reading sessions, book donations, and interactive theatrical performances that made learning more engaging and meaningful for children in marginalized communities. Working closely with trained volunteers, local schools, and community organizations, the project addressed both educational inequality and cognitive diversity by creating safe and inclusive spaces where children could learn, express themselves, and grow. Together, the two programs directly benefited approximately 2,200 children.

Led by our Fellow Ximena Jaramillo Gutiรฉrrez, the initiative reflected a strong commitment to inclusive community development by creating meaningful learning opportunities for children and families in vulnerable communities. The project contributed to the values of SDG goals 1 (No Poverty), 3 (Good Health and Well-being), 4 (Quality Education), 10 (Reduced Inequality), and 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions).

Whispers of Earth: Storytelling for Climate Awareness

The Awareness 360 team in Bangladesh ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ฉ engaged rural and indigenous school students in Sylhet and Faridpur through creative climate education that connected storytelling with environmental action.

Through the Whispers of Earth project, children, teachers, and community members explored climate change, deforestation, and the growing impact of heatwaves through interactive storytelling, drawings, and tree-planting activities. By making climate education creative, and easy to understand, the initiative engaged over 500 participants and encouraged meaningful conversations about protecting nature within homes, schools, and communities. Participants were encouraged to plant trees, care for their surroundings, and recognize the importance of climate action in their daily lives, helping nurture a more conscious and resilient generation for the future.

Led by Awareness 360 Fellow Sheikh Sadnatuz Zaman Richi, the initiative contributes to SDG 4 (Quality Education) SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 15 (Life on Land) by promoting environmental awareness and demonstrating how storytelling can inspire environmental responsibility by turning awareness into action.
