Update on the Rohingya child who passed away (Baby of Rashidah)
27/05/2022 - 3pm

Dear donors, within less than 2 days we have managed to raise the full amount needed to pay the hospital and release the body. We thank you for your kind donations and quick response towards this case. The family are finally at peace having their child's body released from the hospital. They have taken him to the mosque now to proceed with the burial arrangement.

Thank you all. We send our deepest condolences to the parents.

🆘EMERGENCY APPEAL
25 May 2022

A Rohingya baby who was born prematurely on 1st Nov 2021 and had been receiving treatment at the hospital’s NICU for medical complications and oxygen support sadly passed away on the 21st April 2022. His body, however, has not been released as the family are unable to settle the hospital bill which is about RM21k.

After several negotiations with the hospital, they finally agreed to accept RM4,000 to release the body so that his family can bury him and have a dignified funeral.

We at REF have accepted the case and now trying to fundraise this amount so that he can be released. Please donate if you can, any amount of donations is appreciated!

Last week, we took 50 refugee children to visit Aquaria KLCC as a celebration of Eid (Hari Raya). This even was organized by The Together Project, in collaborations with Little Steps Organization and AHVN.

The children were from different nationalities, mainly Yemen, Syria, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Myanmar, Indonesia, Iraq, and few others.

We thank all donors for contributing towards this event. All tickets were covered, and each child received a lunch box, and Eid money.

Special thanks to all volunteers and organizers for working hard to ensure everything runs smoothly.

❤️💟 SPREADING JOY THIS EID 💟❤️

We are organizing a trip to bring 50 refugee children from different communities to visit Aquaria KLCC on 6th May 2022. The purpose of this event is to bring them joy and happiness during the upcoming blessed Eid (Hari Raya). As refugees have left their home country to seek asylum in Malaysia, for most of the times they are unable to enjoy this blessed day due to financial constraints, fear, or feeling of isolation. We hope that through this event, the children will be able to forget about their difficulties even for just a day, and enjoy it like any other children.

We need your support to make this event happen. We are in need of donations to cover the following:
1. Tickets:
- Children: RM69 x 50 = RM3,450
- Volunteers: RM79 x 10 = RM790
2. Food:
- Children: RM10 x 50 = RM500
- Volunteers: RM10 x 10 = RM100
3. Gifts: RM10 x 50 = RM500
Total: RM5,340

Please donate if you can and share this appeal with your friends and families. Any amount no matter how small will make a huge difference. Let's draw a smile on their faces and bring happiness to their hearts! ❤️

Care Packages for Single Mothers!
Fundraising Update (6/3/2022)

As of today, we have raised a total of *RM3100*! Thank you to all who donated for this project. We appreciate your contributions!
We still need another RM1900 to reach our target. Please continue helping and sharing this appeal!

This International Women's Day (IWD), Al-Hasan Volunteer Network is organizing a Care Package Drive for 50 marginalized women (locals and refugees). We aim to appreciate, celebrate, acknowledge their time and efforts - which is often dismissed. We hope this Care Package will alleviate some stress and spread some love to them. Each package will also be accompanied by a hand-written note from anyone who is interested to share a message.
As such, we are reaching out for your support in raising funds. We will be accepting funds until March 5th, 2022 and with the money raised, the following items will be purchased: shampoo, conditioner, soap, sanitizer, moisturizer, candle, etc. Each package will cost ~RM100.

If you would like to donate any amount, please bank into the following account: Account: 5003499512, Public Bank
Reference: IWD Carepack

We also accept sponsorships of items from any companies that are doing CSR. If you would like to write a message, volunteer, or learn more about this project, please contact +60167159023 / +60169519139 or email [email protected]
