This year's Conference is a furtherance of last year's Conference; the interests of young people remain the core of the Conference. 10 Economic Strategic Directions (10 ESD) were formulated by MCA following the 2015 Conference, Mapping 10 Economic Strategic Directions. The 2015 Conference was an initiative made by MCA to engage and consult with the key stakeholders on formulating the economic dire
ctions for the nation. Since then, with the guidance of the MCA’s President Dato’ Seri Liow Tiong Lai, the MCA Youth has worked closely with the industrial players, professionals and experts to execute the roadmap. The 10 Strategic Economic Directions covers the following fields:
- Modern Agriculture
- Neo-urbanisation
- TVET
- Wood-based Industry
- New Frontiers
- Information Technology & Green Technology
- Small Traders
- Financing
- Logistics
- Tourism
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The theme of this year’s Conference is “Conquering the New Economic Frontiers: Empowering Youths”. This year’s Conference is a furtherance of last year’s Conference; the interests of young people remain the core of the Conference. The theme and the contents of the Conference are all about topics that are closely related to the young people. One of the breakthroughs is that this year’s Conference has elevated from national level to regional level, with the goal of enabling young people to venture abroad. Therefore, in addition to local experts and heavyweight young entrepreneurs, this year’s Conference also features overseas experts and star entrepreneurs from Thailand and Hong Kong. These speakers will share their experience and business insight with local youngsters. Another breakthrough is that this year’s Conference will focus on three major economic areas, namely, New Frontiers, Logistics and E-commerce. This year’s Conference also receives strong support from both Malaysian Association of ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs (MAAYE) and Hong Kong- Malaysia Business Association (HKMBA) as supporting organisations to the Conference.
