19/8/2026 : CARES initiative brought joy and creativity to the children through a series of engaging activities.

• Activity kit making: Participants crafted wooden Merdeka keychains, fostering both national pride and hands-on creativity.

• Gifts and sponsorship: Each child received chocolate wafers and colouring books. A total of 45 colouring books were generously sponsored by Q You Trading and Supplies, specially sourced by President Dr. Jacqueline Lee of the Lions Club of Selangor Empire, dedicated to supporting children battling cancer.

• Playroom fun: The playroom buzzed with energy as Ruthe and Hoon led carom matches and interactive games, filling the space with laughter and camaraderie.

This activity not only provided entertainment but also strengthened bonds of care and compassion, embodying CARES mission to serve the community with heart.

29/7/2026 : Today, CARES brought smiles by gifting Chicken Nasi Kandar food packs along with packets of assorted multi‑confectionery treats to 15 patients.

The CARES playroom was buzzing with energy today — a full house of children filled the space with laughter and joy, turning the room into a lively hub of play and connection. Their cheerful engagement itself stands as a success story, showing how the playroom continues to be a safe and happy haven.

Adding to the warmth of the day, Ruthe together with medical students Harizah and Wan Nurdini brought a special blend of fun, care, and mentorship. Their presence not only guided the games but also created meaningful bonds, weaving together play with compassion.

A touching highlight came when volunteers were gifted handmade bracelets by one of the patients — a sweet gesture that captured the spirit of gratitude and togetherness.

The playroom thrives when joy, mentorship, and kindness intersect — today was a shining example of CARES in action.
